What we did- hiked up, down and around a volcano-Haleakala.
Walked miles and miles of the most beautiful coastline you will ever see.
Snorkeled aformentioned coastline.
Drove the road to Hana and another road that is even SCARIER!
On the scary roads we saw watefalls, black sand beach, blowholes, lava caves & tubes, fish taco stands, papaya, bananas and mango growing wild, and so much more.
Stayed in a beautiful, spacious condo at a VERY good price.
Went to a luau.
Went on a sunset dinner cruise with my Adam.
Just plain had a good time.
A few pictures:
Looking down on Haleakala.
Okeydokie. I got an ugly volcano picture up and then my computer started running a scan, therefore slowing everything down. Will post pics later!
One beautiful picture! I am REALLY glad you got to go and had such a great time!
I have had a horrendous day and I am too exhausted to get into it. But we are fine, dad is fine. No results, just major drama. I will try to talk to you tomorrow.
Jet lag? maybe. Over exhaustion? maybe. Easern Standard Time? maybe. I think I saw the sun rise twice yesterday. My days are blended together. I'm a travel wimp. Next vacation, no more than 3 hrs. difference!
Things from the past few weeks- graduation and trips.
Things going on in the next few weeks- graduation and trips.
That's it in a nutshell, but to be more specific I will say that these two
graduated from FC on April 30. Congrats kids! I have two cousins who also graduated so a bunch of extended family and a few friends gathered at our home afterward for a partay!
Sabrina then raced up to Indiana to visit a wonderul friend. Last weekend Jesse went to Seattle for the wedding of a great guy. Now he and Adam are in Yellowstone. They waved to me at Old Faitful hile I watched it from my computer. They're having a great time!
On May 10, these cool kids from church were honored with a graduation party
On May 29, this one will graduate High school
He looks more like the guy on the left now.
Yes- they do grow fast. What now? We're going to Hawaii! Anyone sick of me saying that? Now, I just hope we can get a flight!
Enjoy Hawaii for me! That was my first pick for our 15 yr anniv trip. But Jeff didn't want to go. So, we are going to Seattle - which will be lots of fun, I am sure! Wow, Sabrina graduated!!
Great photos! Sorry we didn't make it to the graduation party. We were coming back from Miami (Sean's graduation) and had a little car trouble. We were hoping to show up there...
;-) Well, he definitely wants to tour the Boeing plant (you know those A&P mechanics...) and sea kayaking around the San Juan Islands. Not sure what else... had thought of going to St. Helens.
I think we'll survive. :) We actually have some left over chicken soup in the fridge and whenever we feel like eating (which isn't often with this sickness), we can get some of that. But I'm mostly better now, so I think I'll be able to do some more cooking and what-not now. Thanks for asking though..
You noticed that huh? I'm not really all that into Hispanic men, it's just Kinda a staple. I'd prefer names like, Jack, or Johnny, or say Edward. but you don't picture guys with names like that dwelling on a deserted island as cabana boys or something do you?
when i was in high school it snowed so much in feb thru march we had to keep rescheduling homecoming basketball game til last week of march... We also had snow days in april the year after i graduated...
I wondered if it could be from allergy stuff.
I kinda like "Williwam." Hahaha.
No, but it's Barry and Melanie and their family from NC. And yes, "William and the Hancocks" does sound like a band name! :)
Wow, that's crazy.
I knew there was one near 41 & 54, maybe that was it.
There were more than 20 homes in Wesley Chapel that were damaged by a tornado. It was really intense. The tornado even flipped over a parked SUV.
You are worse than me about postineg! I knew there was a reason we get along so well! Hey, when you go to Hawaii, please tell me you are going to Pearl Harbour. I want PICTURES, and documentations!!!
Yes, my youngest turns 18 today. Although strange to say it, I don't consider him to be all grown up. They all will always be my babies. There are still so many turns and twists in the road and I'm looking forward to seeing what they are and where they lead. Alex has always been the clown of the family. Not just a clown, but I think "Mr. Personality" fits. Although you might need to know him well to see it this way. Even when he was only a couple of days old my mom said, "this one is going to charm his way through life". That has definitely been a true statement!
You have wonderful children. You have a great family.
Thank you! I love taking pictures at the beach, though, that could just be "I love taking pictures, period." I've thought about being a photographer. Maybe I'll just be a mix of make-up artist / hair-stylist / photographer. :)
You're right - I was going to babysit for a family, but they ended up making other plans with another babysitter. Too bad. But I had fun. :) I would have gone anyways, even if I didn't have anyone to babysit. This was the VERY FIRST conference I've been to in FOUR years where no one has needed me to babysit! It was weird. :)
