Life is to short to just do nothing.

This little saying can mean SO much if you just really sit back and think about it. In the last several days I have had the chance to really seriously sit back, think about this saying and really have something to say about it. I have experienced in the last several years a few friends and family passing away but it didn't really hit me until here recently. In the last several days I while at work I have been able to think about how God has blessed me in so many ways that I just can't even explain. My family and friends who mean the world to me are just a few of them. Well today while at work I recieved a phone call from my brother. Well usually its no big deal when he calls. He usually just calls and most of the time doesn't leave a message. Well today I knew something was up because he called me twice and actually left a message. It just so happened when I was checking my phone that I was on my break so I called him back. Well turns out that one of our friends growing up who was around our age died last night of alcohol poisoning. It didn't really hit me hard until tonight while at church that that exact saying came to my head "Life is just to short to just sit around."

The bible teaches us that if we want eternal life with him in Heaven we have to work to reach that goal. Proverbs 21:21 reads "Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor"

If you want life, righteousness and honor then you have to work to recieve it. It's not going to be easy to our ultimate goal but with God on our side it will be that much easier to reach it!

If you think about all the people that associate themselves with the world throughout the day they are usually telling you about "oh I got so drunk last night" or "oh I can't wait til I get off to go clubbin" or "I really just need a drink". How many of them tell you "oh I don't believe in going clubbin, or getting drunk"? I used to tell my friends who would ask me if I could go to dances and stuff like that that I couldn't go because my parents wouldn't let me go. Once I got older I came to realize it wasn't because my parents wouldn't let me go it was because I didn't believe that it was right. The bible teaches us not to be conformed but be transformed. We eventually have to transform ourselves to be different from the world and not associate ourselves with the world.

In our ladies bible study last night her mom taught the class and just to get us to think she mentioned a story of her daughter when they went out of town a couple of weeks ago. They went out of town and were going to be going to another church sunday morning. Well they had planned on going to bible class but ended up running late. As Mrs. Dorothy put it "how many times do you hear 4 year old kids crying because they missed bible class?" Well she was sad that she missed bible class that sunday night they weren't going to make it to their congregation so they went to one in a different town well she thought that since she missed class that morning that she would be going to class that night. Well we don't have class at evening services but she wanted to go to class so bad that she thought that she wanted to go that night.

The reason that I bring up that point is how many times as we get older to we think "oh I don't really feel like going this morning" so we don't go. Well when a 4 year old gets up and gets ready for church they are mainly going for bible class...yes they go for services but the class is what is really getting them there and really wanting them to go. We just really need to think to ourselves that Life really is to short to just sit around and wait and do nothing.

Well I know that this was probably long and if you got this far I am very proud. Thought that I would do a little something different this time! Plus I have been thinking about this for a while and I thought it was an appropriate time.

One more thing. I really do ask to keep her family, along with the sherrard/hawk/malone family in your prayers. Bekah's grandmother passed away monday night and then The sherrard/hawk/malone family lost one of their family members early this morning. Bradley Sherrard was found by his roommate this morning dead and it was determined that the cause was because of Alcohol Poisoning. Also please keep my Great Grandmother in her prayers: She found out that she has breast cancer and she is 94. So please keep my family and these other families in your prayers. We/They could use them!

Ok Love y'all lots!!
