Would You Sign This Pledge?

Last Sunday our preacher at Union Road Pat Jones preached a Lesson on Paul Preaching to Athens. At the end of his sermon he brought up this "pledge" so to speak and asked us if he were to ask us to sign it would we? Well it wasn't an actual pledge but it is something that we as Christians need to seriously think about. So I ask all of you: If I were to ask you to sign this pledge would you?

Would You Sign This Pledge?

"We promise to Love one another (John 15:12), to be members of one another (Rom. 12:5), to honor one another (Rom. 12:16), to live in harmony with one another (Rom. 12:16), to build one another up (Rom. 14:19), to be like-minded with one another (Rom. 15:5), to accept one another (Rom. 15:7), to care for one another (1 Cor. 12:25), to serve on another ( Gal. 5:13), to bear one another's burdens (Gal. 6:2), to be kind and tender-hearted to one another ( Eph. 4:32) to submit to one another (1 Thess. 4:18), to encourage one another (Heb. 3:13), to stir one another up to love and good deeds (Heb. 10:24), to confess our sins to one another (James 5:16), to be hospitable to one another (1 Pet. 4:9), to greet one another(Gal. 5:14), and not bite and devour one another (Gal. 5:15), not envy one another (Gal. 5:26), not slander one another (James 4:11), not complain against each other (James 5:9), and not stop assembling together (Heb. 10:25)

Hope you all think and contemplate on these things. Love you all!

Weekend with Emily and School!

Wow...It's been a while since I last updated on this thing. I do look at all the posts and what people comment on here I promise, but it seems that when I think to update I am not around my computer. Well what has happened since I last updated?

Last weekend Emily came in for the weekend and we just had a girls weekend and just hung out. Friday she got in around noon and we went up to the mall and just hung out for a while, then we came home and watched a movie. Mom and dad left for Taylor after they got off work so when they left we went and got pizza and then started our Dawson's Creek Marathon Weekend...yes we watched the first complete season of Dawson's Creek. We hadn't watched that show in forever so we decided to watch it since I had it. After the first episode we took a break for a little while and started on dying my hair. Tempestt came over and enjoyed watching that experience...LOL I REALLY love my hair color...there were times during the process that I was able to see Emily's facial expression and hear Tempestt laughing and was like "what's going on?" But it turned out really good! We then watched more Dawson's Creek.

Saturday afternoon we just relaxed. We went and saw Twilight...yes Brianne I FINALLY saw New Moon, and I LOVED it! Brianne I told Emily that she, Kayla, and myself need to make a road trip to Austin when Eclipse comes out and all see it together. What do you think??? After the movie we went to chili's and ate and then came back to the house, made popcorn and watched...you guessed it. We called it a night kinda early and went to bed.

Sunday after church we went with the Jones clan, and a couple from church to Logan's for lunch and just had a great time being able to visit with everybody. Came home and just relaxed and also took a nap. After church sunday night Alex, Tempestt, Emily, myself, Andrew, and Timothy all met up and went to Cheddars which I must say was a GREAT time! Afterwards Emily and myself just watched tv and talked...stayed up pretty late.

Monday Emily headed home and I went up to work and talked to my Manager about why I wasn't scheduled for this week...then got my stuff ready for my first day of classes for the semester.

Tuesday I ended up working that morning and then came home and just relaxed. Monday and tuesday were my not so good days...I was able to talk to a friend of mine and vent and get some stuff off my chest about some things that had taken place monday afternoon.

Wednesday was my first day off classes for the semester and I think I am going to enjoy my classes this semester.

Well this is already a lot so I think i'll get off here. If I don't get on here for a while don't get mad...I usually read your comments and look at the new posts but with the semester of school I am gonna try and focus more on my studies. Love all of you guys and talk to you guys again soon! I'll do my best to update again before spring break but I am not going to make any promises...LOL

BRANSON

Hey guys it's been a while since I've last updated so I thought I'd update you guys on what's been going on in the last several weeks! Well last week was Christmas and Christmas eve we had mom's family come over and we had dinner and gave the kids their gifts which they enjoyed. Christmas day we woke up and opened presents. That day was just a relaxing day for ALL of us. I enjoyed that day. We watched movies and mostly played a game called Wahoo (a marble game that I grew up playing with my mom's family). Sunday we all left after church to get on the road to go to Branson, MO. We got in around 10:30 that night. Monday the only real plans we had was to go to see the Baldknobbers (Comedy/Country family act). That afternoon we went to the Titanic Museum. I learned a lot and it was VERY interesting. If you ever have the opportunity to go you should! Yesterday we went shopping. There is a Christmas shop here in town called Kringles and there are also some smaller shops in the same shopping center. If you don't know me or my mom any chance we can spend in a Christmas shop we can. So yesterday we got a few ornaments, I collect stockings (mom started that collection for me) and the stocking I got was a Christopher Radko Collectable it's number 1 out of 360 and is a Red mitten. Last night we went to see the Acrobats of China. VERY good! I really enjoyed it! After we got back from the show last night it started snowing. We played Aggieopoly (Aggie version of Monopoly) for about an hour and then Dru and I headed outside to play in the snow. Which turned out into making a snowman which never got finished. Dad started helping us. We got the body ready and put the head on and as we started heading inside the head fell off the body. I worked so hard on that but oh well...tonight if it snows i'll be making a head while they get the body ready. That took about an hour and a half for us to do. We got inside and mom was sweet enough to have hot chocolate ready for us. I really enjoyed being able to spend time with dad and dru playing in the snow. Today was just our day to relax in our condo and stay warm. Tonight we are going to see a group called the Haygoods. It's a family group of 8 siblings (7 boys and 1 girl) each play instruments. From what mom said the girl is the most talented. Tomorrow we are seeing a group called Pierce Arrow. Friday we leave to head home.

Hope you guys have a great new year! It's been a really great year but it sure has gone by SOOOOO fast. Talk to you guys later!!

Thanksgiving and much more!

Wow it's been a month already? Well in the last month I have mainly just been working. We were getting ready for our BIG day which was yesterday at work. Well our Thanksgiving went REALLY well! Mawmaw and Pawpaw both came over for thanksgiving lunch. Pawpaw came over thursday morning and him and dad fried turkeys. We had an amazing lunch that included:

Turkey
Dressing
Sweet Potato Casserole
Green Bean Casserole
Corn
Pink Salad
Rolls
Sweet Potato Pie
Pecan Pie
Chocolate Cake

Mawmaw came over around 11 and us ladies were inside finishing getting everything ready for lunch while the guys were frying turkeys and watching the football games. After lunch Dru and I both laid down for a little while before he headed back to College Station for the BIG football game that would be taking place. A&M vs. TU...Although the AGGIES lost I must admit that they played an amazing game! It ended up being 49-39 in the longhorns favor but it was a game that kept me on the edge of my seat the WHOLE game!

Yesterday was the BIG day...BLACK FRIDAY...I dreaded working. I went in at 7 yesterday morning and was supposed to get off at 6 but didn't end up leaving til 6:45 yesterday evening. I can honestly say that even though I dreaded the whole day...it went by so fast that I wasn't even able to think about anything else. I was working in jewelry the whole day and I KNEW it would be crazy and swamped but it just amazed me HOW many people do actually come to purchase jewelry.

Today I went into work at 3:30 and worked til close...and it wasn't sooo bad...was kinda slow. After work I came home and the family and myself played a game called Wahoo...if you have never heard of it it's a marble game played on a board and you are on teams. 4 people play and you are trying to be the first team to get your marbles home...you and your team mate. Dru and I were playing against my mom and dad and BOTH times we lost...It is always a fun game when we play it!!! We are probably going to have a RE-MATCH after lunch tomorrow...

Well this is already a LONG post so I guess I'll get off here...Exactly ONE month from today our family will be in Branson, MO!!! I can't wait to go!!! Hope everybody has a GREAT week and I'll post again once I get the opportunity. I doubt I'll be able to much this next month with it being the holiday but I'll do my best! Love you guys and talk to you soon!!!

COFFEE...

Well this last weekend I was able to take some time off before all the craziness at work begins. Yes that craziness would be all the HOLIDAY shopping. So Friday morning I woke up and got on the road around 8 and headed to Houston area to meet Emily. We met at the JC Penney's near her house and did a little bit of shopping. After looking around the store and getting Kayla a scarf we went to the cars and loaded her suitcase and stuff into my car and got on our way to go to College Station where we were going to spend the weekend with Dru and his roommates. We were going to go to Muldoon's Coffee House when we got into town while we waited on Dru to get out of class but the address that we had to put into the gps was not the address and so it took us to this weird part of town that I had never seen or heard of before. So we turned back around, put the address of Dru's house in and when we finally reached the house Dru called and so we went and picked him up from where he was. We then went to the mall for a little bit before we needed to meet one of Kayla's friends on campus. We had a great time. Friday night we went to the College class and then went with some of the people from there to Freebirds and ate, Saturday Dru and I cooked lunch for Emily, Flen, and Elizabeth, and then Emily and I were by ourselves for a little while so we decided to get ready and go to Muldoon's again. After Muldoon's we went back to the house and watched a movie, and then went to a singing that night at one of Dru's friends house. We lost track of time after getting back to the house cuz we were talking, but finally went to bed and then woke up in the morning and got ready for church. After church we went to Double Dave's with some people from church and then Dru's roommate's met us there as well. So we had a big group with us. Once we got home we packed up the car and then laid down for a little while before leaving. Got to church just a few mins late, then I followed Mrs. Candy back to their house where I was going to be spending the night, got there and we ate, then I headed to bed. Yesterday was a rainy day so we just kinda relaxed at the house for a while then Mrs. Candy and I went to Charming Charlie's, and then had shrimp poboys at the Cajun shack...which i must say was REALLY good. I went to the meeting again last night, went to Steak N Shake last night with Emily and Zach and then got on the road around 10:15ish. Finally got home around 12:15.

Well I hope everybody has a great week and I'll post again sometime soon. Love you guys lots!
