Funny understandings....or lack thereof...

One of the songs sung at chapel last Friday was "For You Have Promised", for those of you familiar with this song, you'll find the humor.

K1 was singing this song, while standing on top of our coffee table, here's a little excerpt-

"and I will prayer, and I will prayer for your salbation, and I'll say thanks and maggot fly and you will love it."

I LOVE hearing kids sing. Sometimes I like to think back on what I thought some of the words were when I was a kid. In "Our God He is Alive", I thought it said "He HATED man" instead of "created man". What's some of your funny misunderstandings from when you were a kid, or those of your kids?

I didn't grow up singing hymns, but Nathan has stories of "He whispers sweet peas to me" and "low in the gravy ladle... up from the gravy a roast."

This is too cute! There is a "Lord's Supper" song that I can't think of the name of right now but I always thought it said "Precious feast all elves surpassing" and I always dreamed of this scene in Heaven of elves passing out the Lord's Supper. Strange I know!

Well we started that line when she was obeying but not being very happy about it. So we told her she needed to obey joyfully. Then we added doing exactly what we say. I think every parent works on this all the time!!

Glad your dad is doing better! Larry Houchen announced that funny story at church on Wednesday night - what a small world we live in! haha. My grandma is improving - she's at the nursing home I work at now so I'm able to keep a good eye on her! =)
