It's been a LONG time!!!
Well, I guess it's been about a year or so since I last posted. A lot has gone on with the Nova.
Here's what's been done to date:
1. The car was completely stripped.
2. We built a 350 engine with high performance parts (hydraulic roller cam, intake, 4 barrel Demon Jr. carburetor). Engine dyno-ed at 321 hp. Rebuilt the original 2-speed powerglide transmission.
3. We took it to a company called Bare Metals in New Albany and it was media blasted. This removed all of the rust and paint.
4. The re-construction process has started. The new rear end and springs are installed. The new front suspension is being installed.
5. After the car is back on all fours, I am taking it to a body shop in Shelbyville for body work (fixing the rust damage, primer, and paint of undercoat, interior, and exterior.
6. While the car is gone to the body shop, I'll be working on the seats - getting them ready for when the car comes home.
Pictures will follow!!
