If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!
Well...the subject line just about says it in regards to this past week! Saturday was my Grandparent's 50th Anniversary and we had big plans! They grew up and were married in the 50s so we had planned a 1950's sock hop theme for their 50th anniversary. Everyone would dress in poodle skirts and saddle shoes and leather jackets! It was gonna be great! I started working on a slideshow with all their old pictures scanned into my computer with 50s music in the background and we had tons of decorations. Up until last week everything was going fine... but then I must have done something really bad without realizing it because bad karma came my way! Hehe!
I won't go into too much detail because I don't want to complain to everyone, but to give you a hint; I don't like that Murphy guy very much.. you know, the one who said that everything that can go wrong, will go wrong. He jinxed me! Hehe! I don't think that there was one thing in regards to that party that worked the first time. Everything had to be done and re-done and re-re-done. And some of it didn't even get done! ANd by everything I mean my costume, dad's costume, austin's costume, the slideshow that I spent months on, the music, the decorations, and the list goes on! Bleh! But all is well now. The party was surprisingly great and everyone had fun! I saw my grandma hula-hoop which was quite comical. We even got it the video camera...course the DVD that it was recorded on is currently stuck inside the DVD player at my grandparent's house... Hehe!
On another note, I won't see DJ tonight because he has to work... :(
So I've really gotta find out what I did to get all this bad karma coming my way! Hehe!
But that's okay! Life will go on.. and on a happier note, I have so many things to be thankful for. A loving God who gave his son to die for me, a wonderful family (even though the extended family is a little crazy at times), a fabulous fiance, great friends, and so many brothers and sisters in Christ that are always there for me 100%! I also have a wonderful job that I look forward to every weekday and a wonderful paycheck that comes twice a month! Hehe!
I just have to learn that even when things aren't going my way, I still have so much to be thankful for! To every cloud there's a silver lining-right? :D Hehe! It also seems to be a lot better after you've had yourself a good emotional breakdown and a good cry! Hehe!

Hey Kensi! I know its been a lllloooonnnngggg time since i've been on here! lol I dont know for sure if i will be coming down this year or not. I'm taking a couple of summer classes at school and so I dont know if I will be able to make it or not. I hope so cuz it would be like missing a big family reunion! Hope all is good with you and yours. :) -
Like I said before Kensi, I'm still confused. It's hard, I mean look at u, u have found the one u want 2 spend the rest of your life with and he feels the same way, I'm sure. Me, on the other hand, not so much.
