What a Day!
Wow! If I could pick three life changing days out of my entire life, I'd pick #1-the day I was baptized, #2-the day DJ proposed (December 23, 2007) and #3-TODAY!
So lately I have been looking into being a paralegal if Dental Hygiene didn't work out. Well today a the lawyer's office, it was the most stressful day I've had thus far--Ms. DeeDee went home sick, the phone was ringing off the walls, I was gettin in 25 page faxes at 4:30, I had to deal a lot with scheduling appointments, and I had to get two packages FedExed out today, one of which I had to get 4 copies of a DVD made by a local imaging specialist! BUT, after all that, I went home loving my job more than ever! So I decided on the car ride home that even if I DID get into Dental Hygiene, I'd still change my career choice and look into Legal Assisting (Paralegal). When I pulled in the driveway, Haley (Dr. Williams-the dentist that I used to work for..his daughter) called (who is also applying to Dental Hygiene) and said that the letters of denial/acceptance went out yesterday so be expecting a letter. Well, when I got home, long story short, letter came in and I was denied! Mom broke the news and to her surprise, I said that was GREAT! Everything's just been falling into place. First, I took the job part time. At the same time, Haley was wanting more hours at the dentist office, but none were available to her. Then, my boss at the lawyer's office wanted to hire me full time, so I asked Haley if she'd take my hours at the dentist and that all worked out. And now, I didn't even get accepted into Dental Hygiene! Everything's leading toward becoming a paralegal! I'm so excited! So that's the update on my life! I couldn't wait to tell everyone about it!
It's funny because less than two years ago, I was dead set on moving to Colorado and becoming a dental hygienist. Now, I want to live in Texas and become a paralegal! Funny how things change after I was so sure of myself!
