Last weekend, Ben and I had the pleasure of babysitting 2 dogs, 2 cats and 30+ chickens.
Ben and I actually enjoyed the Green Acres lifestyle - we especially liked 'egg pickin' in the afternoons. Those stinkin chickens would pop out 20 some eggs or so every day. Supposedly, a chicken will lay an egg every 25 hours.
I will admit, it was a little annoying to get up at 7am to let the chickens out of the coop, etc - but otherwise, we just left them alone.
My
lil sis captured some of our farm adventure on camera, but unfortunately I don't have the vid yet.
*Skip this section if you hate Twilight*
I treated myself to Twilight TWICE on Valentine's Day. (It's at the cheap theater so I don't feel so bad.) I made Ben go with me the first time - and I think he would have liked it more if the STUPID LADY behind us wasn't SINGING ALONG with the soundtrack! Seriously. ANNOYING! I went back that night with my mom and sis - no singing lady, but we did have to deal with some crazy Team Edward girls a couple rows in front of us. They basically just giggled through the whole thing. I can't wait until I can get my own copy on DVD. Only 20 more days, baby! (Jasper Hale, I love you!) P.S. Is it weird that my mom has seen the movie FOUR times already? I guess she's going through her mid-life crisis.
In other Twilight-free news - Ben is probably going up to St. Louis soon. He's got some job opportunities up there that he'll check out...I sure hope that something will happen soon! We've had a good time here in SW MO, but 6 months with the parents is a little rough. I'm excited to have my own place again! If we do end up moving to the StL area, I expect some
hookups or somethin - we need people to help us out with the house hunt!
Overall, things have been really great for us. I can't complain. Well, actually, if I had one complaint, it would be that Republic isn't close enough to Bowling Green. There are a lot of people there that I am dying to see! I guess I should include Nashville in that, too. Regardless, I need FRIEND time. ASAP. I'll see what I can do from my end.
I guess that's about it for now - any of you guys already send in your taxes?
