" " New Post "

I know I am shocking most of you with
how little time has past since my last post. But to be completely truthful ...I am already tired of looking at that last one. What
a whiner I was.
So I am excited I have a lovely friend
coming over tommorrow to help me work on the walls in the dining
room. She came a couple of weeks ago and helped me start removing
the wall paper. Now we are going to finish that and move on
to "faux-finishing" them.We are going to put the trim boards
up ,which is majorly important for air containment. So hopefully
when we are done the fuel bill will be helped in a small way.
My Monday night ladies Bible class has
been studing a book on prayer.I have been amazed at how many
details I had missed. Like last night we noticed in Eph.6:10-20
"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and
in the strength of His might.Put on the full armor of God, that
you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against
the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this
darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the
heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that
you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done
everything, to stand firm.Stand firm therefore, having girded
your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of
righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of
the gospel of peace;in addition to all, taking up the shield of
faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming
missiles of the evil one.And take the helmet of salvation, and
the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
With all prayer and petition pray at all
times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petitionfor all the saints, and pray on my
behalf, that utterance may begiven to me in the opening of
mmouth, to make known withboldness the mystery of the gospel, for
which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I
may speak boldly, as I ought to speak."
It seems to be telling us that if we
don't include prayer we haven't put on the WHole armor of God.
It made me think of Achilles and his one unguarded weak spot.
With out pray we leave an opening for the devil. How cool is it
that God didn't just create us and dump us out here to fend for
ourselves...but instead gave us all Truth and all the help we
could ask for.
Eph 3:14-20 " For this reason, I bow my
knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and
on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to
the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through
His Spirit in the inner man; so that Christ may dwell in your
hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in
love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the
breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of
Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fulness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the
power that works within us"

I don't know how I could survive without prayer - and I feel confident that because of prayer I've been able to weather quite a few storms thus far. I like your ABS font colors!!
