Its been a while since I've updated. School has been flying by. It's been an amazing senior year and I have two weeks of classes left and then finals.
Big news: I'm working at Keller Rohrback law firm in Santa Barbara, Calif. I work part time right now as the admin assistant/office manager. As I get things up and running for this new branch I'll start doing entry level paralegal work, coding/reviewing case documents etc. It's really exciting and I'll be working with some really great people. They flew me up to Seattle, where the main office is, last week for 3 days of training and orientation. I met a lot of people and learned a lot about the organization. It was really exciting, but freezing cold up there. I was happy to be welcomed by warm southern california weather when I got back. burrrr.
Graduation is coming right up. Very excited to see all of my friends and familiy for the occasion. I'll be moving to Ventura area at the end of the month and commute to work/church. Lots of big exciting things. Enjoying my last few weeks as a student & some malibu sunshine!

About one month left of summer. summer 2010 has been incredible. I've gotten to go on a lot of really cool trips with a few big ones coming up in the next month. I'm working during the week and travelling most weekends. I've spent a lot of (much needed) time up in Tracy/Dublin which has been so great. I'm really looking forward to Morro Bay and the Teen Forum.
I can't remember if i wrote in the last entry or not, but i've got an internship! (unpaid) for a media group in Pasadena, I do all my work online.. a few cool projects i've been working on. I'll give more details once they get finished, but hopefully getting some good experience and contacts. Still doing the personal assistant job to pay the bills :p
hmm, i guess thats all.

Always seem to forget about this thing.. then remember that maybe some people still read. Maybe this summer I'll work on updating on a more regular basis. I do keep an actual journal that i write in, probably, 4 times a week. i just forget about this.
Well i'm on summer break finally! It was a GREAT semester. I met so many wonderful people and had really fun, friendly professors. I finished out with 2 A's and 2 B's. My A's were in my major courses, B's in G.E.s haha. I'm up in Tracy right now. I was originally supposed to go back down south May 17th. However, my car was hit in a Raley's parking lot by a run away cart that did some pretty significant damage. thankfully, the store is paying for it, but my car's in the shop for a couple more days. I'll stay for the gospel meeting in Dublin this weekend and head back to southern california monday.
I'm living with the Adams in Newbury Park still. I'll be working the personal assistant job I've had, a few days each week. I've applied to a few internships but no solid leads yet. My current job gives me a lot of flexibility for hours and travel which is perfect for summer! While I've definitely enjoyed my time up here, I'm looking forward to getting back into a routine and making some money!
We also have a new addition to our family that I got to meet when I came up. Her name is Ella, she's a yr and 1/2 old mini schnauzer from a rescue in Manteca. Shes super cute with a ton of energy, and some bad habits we're working on breaking. Shes fun though, Pepper initially wasn't so thrilled but they are getting used to each other.
I celebrated my 21st birthday a couple weeks ago with a trip to AT&T Park with my family for the Giants v. Rockies game. It was "On Field Photo Day" so we got there extra early and were admitted onto the field before game time. Some of the players walked around the field and stopped to talk and take pictures with fans. I got some really great photos! I was most excited to meet Tim Lincecum.. he was really nice and took pictures with Joe & I. Also got to meet pitcher Jeremy Affeldt, catcher Eli Whiteside, 3B Sandoval, John Bowker and Andres Torres. It was a beautiful day in the City, and they won!
Looking forward to lots of fun times and relaxing before i start my SENIOR year at Pepperdine, time has sure flown by.

Just got back from Spring break on sunday. It was wonderful to be home and spend time with friends and family! Got to hear a couple of great lessons, bible class, lots of eating and shopping!! It was really nice to take my mind of off all the stress.
Spring semester is going great! I love only having four classes. I'm taking Public Relations Campaigns, where I'm working on a pr campaign for Union Rescue Mission located on Skid Row in LA. I'm in my last semester of Italian! I've loved learning the language and hope I dont lose it before I get a chance to go to Italy. Also taking Mass Comm Media law, its been interesting reading cases and learning about trials. Lastly, Biology, ugh i'm so happy i'm not a science major. Luckily, I have a great professor in bio who understands that not everyone loves science as much as she does, so its been enjoyable. its a human genetics/traits kinda class, so at least its applicable to my life.
I'm still working in the PR office at Pepperdine (3rd year!) and also as a personal assistant for a retired ortho surgeon in Malibu. Its all pretty chill. I'm hoping to get a meaningful internship/job this summer, looking into J.D. Power & Associates in Westlake.. so we'll see.
All in all everythings going pretty well. I register for my senior fall semester tomorrow! Its crazy I only have one more year left. I'm going to enjoy every last minute of it :)
Love to all,
Magz
