It's definitely football season. :) I went to the FSU Alabama game on Saturday, and this is what I just read about the number of fans there:

"The 85,412 fans at Saturday's game was the most to see a game in Jacksonville, exceeding attendance at the 2004 Super Bowl game or any of the annual Georgia-Florida rivalry games."

There's just something about being in a place with that many people cheering for one thing that is exhilerating. Needless to say, it was pretty incredible.

Wow, that's a lot of people! So Lyds, how are you? You know Cara's about to have her baby, she was due the 24th but he hasn't come yet. How's school going for you? I hope you're doing good:)! By the way, that's a really cute picture of you and Katie.

California dreaming on such a winter's day

This time last year I was packing to move to California. I didn't know what I would do when I got there, or how long I would stay. What a crazy year this has been.

I think that every year I think it's been one of the most life changing, and eye-opening years of my life, but I'd have to say that this past year could put any other year to shame. I could make a laundry list of all the crazy/humbling/exciting learning experiences I've had this year.

But, it's been a good year. I'm glad to be where I am, and to have done what I've done. I'm grateful for the opportunities I have. I love school (even if I don't love the assignments I'm putting off right now), and I love the excitement and uncertainty of what's ahead.

So, here's to growth, and to changes, and also to doing 50% of the semester's work in two weeks time.

I miss talking to you too! Reminiscing about the fish and biology brought back so many wonderful memories...all the way back to FCA days. Do you remember the olympics we had at our house and you and matt and a few others would come over...so much fun!

I love, love, love the office!!! Best and funniest show ever. I can't help but get totally sucked in by the whole Jim and Pam romance, I want her to ditch roy and get with Jim. Dwight is pretty stinkin funny too, especially when Jim is constantly playing pranks on him and he's never catching on...I can't wait till season 3 comes out on DVD!

Oops, I hit enter too soon, are you coming down to Tampa at all for Christmas because I'll be there, if you are we need to get together. I know Fred has already talked to Josh and we'll do something with him so maybe we could all hang out...how much fun would that be (if you're coming down that is).

I heard about Josh, I feel so bad for him. I haven't watched season 3 yet, we wait till it comes on DVD and get it through net flix...Fred doesn't like commercials. On Christmas day Fred wanted to do something later I guess that day with josh so maybe we can all do something:)

eye-opening years are the best! btw, the term "eye-opening" makes it sound like one eye is still closed. So if an eye-opening year is good, then an eyes-opening year is RAWKIN AWESOME!

Thursday I was very thankful for Thanksgiving and large amounts of yummy food.

Friday I was very thankful for sales, moms that like to go shopping, and cheap christmas decorations.

Saturday I was very thankful to go to the FSU/UF game. (I know, we lost, but it was still fun.)

Sunday I was/am very thankful to worship the Lord and have a good singing night.

Sunday night as I realize I haven't done any school work all weekend, I'm very very thankful that 19 days from now I will be done with my first semester of grad school.

Yay for the end of semesters!
