Holiday Fun!
We will be off to South Carolina to visit with Brad's dad for a few days for the Holidays. I do wish we had longer to make the trip up to Virginia and West Virginia to see my family but the time just isn't there. So I will wait until summer to visit with them. We opened presents last night here at our house. The children were so excited! I fixed BBQ meatballs, baked sweet potato's and a cheese ball. We also had some frosted sugar cookies for dessert! Mary Katherine (12) had asked for some books, specifically Star Wars the Young Jedi series books. So Brad and I went on a hunt... the first book in that series was $40! But we found a used one for 20 the others were 15 a piece so we purchased the first three. You couldn't get them in an E-book either! Our family gift was a Kindle Fire! They were all so excited! James asked for a book called The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan. Anna asked for a bike with a hand brake. Lily wanted an Our Generation Doll and Aaron asked for a Woody and guns. They are all playing away and reading this morning. I am doing some last minute laundry so we can get packed. Mawmaw and Papaw sent some money for gifts so they got to open those too! Fun, fun and more fun around here! My sweet husband gave me a pearl ring with black diamonds around it. It is beautiful! I gave him some fishing tackle for bass fishing and an Adele CD. I love this time of year, the weather is perfect here in Florida not to hot and not to cold.
