Sophomore Year!
I don't know about you, but for the longest time I've thought that Sophomore was spelled Sophmore but good thing I learned how to spell it properly before I actually became one haha. Just a thought :]
Anyways my second year at Westview is going great! I'm feeling comfortable in all my classes at this point and I have lots of friends in each class. This year, I'm taking American Studies 10, Lit & Comp 10, Algebra 2, Chemistry, Spanish 2, Dance (as a P.E. class), and Journalism. All of my teachers are excellent and I'm friends with all of them! Haha :] Journalism is my favorite class right now. In this class, I work with a group of people and we write for the Prowl, the school newspaper. I write for the centerspread and I'm also a copy editor. Along with an on the side photographer for the paper. Everyone, except for the main editors, has to write 2 articles. For my first two, my centerspread piece is on Embarrassing, Scary Horror Stories and my entertainment peice is on the Portland Center Stage downtown. It's so much fun writing for the paper, it opens good opportunities for meeting a lot of new people :]
All my other classes are great. Chemistry isn't as complicated as I thought it would be, Lit is full of reading and poetry writing, I'm learning Ballet, Hip hop, and Jazz in dance, American Studies is cool... haha :] (actually that's my hardest class, but my teacher is good), Algebra is super easy because my teacher is retiring after this school year, and Spanish 2 is amazing as always. I'd like to eventually become fluent in Spanish so that I may use it in my profession someday as a nurse.
Oh! And I made the cast for the school play, The Little Princess. I am a little school girl named Clara Jones :] If you would like to come see it, it's playing October 22nd, 23rd, and 24th.
22nd Performance time - 4:00 PM
23rd Performance time - 7:30 PM
24th Performance time - 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM
