Hey everyone! Just recently i have changed my decision to move to Florida. This is definitely the best thing for me right now. I was looking forward to living with my friends, but too many obstacles caused me to reconsider my plans. I definitely feel relieved and am happy that i chose to stay home. I hope everyone has a great week!

I know it has been a while since i have posted anything. My life lately has been a little crazy and stressful. I'm actually making a move back to Florida for a year. I'm leaving Texas in the middle of June and will be heading to Tampa. I will be living with two great girls, one of whom i roomed with at FC. This is a huge step for me, and i definitely have my worries. This will be the first time i will be paying rent and utilities! I can't let my fears hold me back though. Making the transition into adulthood is scary, but i know it will be a great growing experience for me. I have so many great friends in Florida and i know i'll get all the support i need from them. Once i find a job and figure out what college i'll be attending in the fall, i'll be a lot more content about everything. I know God is in control and i just need to do what i need to do and leave the rest to Him.

Tomorrow morning is the big day! I have never had surgery before, so i'm freaking out a little bit. I know there is only a tiny percentage of something going wrong, but i would really appreciate it for anyone who reads this to pray that the surgery will be successful. It'll take a few days for my eyes to recover from the surgery. For anyone who is not familiar with PRK, it is the equivalent of LASIK. My cornea was too thin for the LASIK procedure, so the PRK was the way to go. It is just as effective, it just takes longer for an individual to see the results and it's a longer recovery period. I hope every one is doing great!!

So...it's been a few months since i've blogged. School and work has been keeping me pretty busy. I just realized Christmas is less than a month away! I love this time of year... it seems people are more joyful and kind! I love being surrounded by my family and friends. I love seeing relatives that i haven't seen in a long time. I love Christmas parties. I love driving around looking at Christmas lights. I love watching "White Christmas". I love watching "A Christmas Story". I love buying gifts. I love wrapping gifts. I love unwrapping gifts. I love the food and desserts (sandtarts especially!) I love placing ornaments on the Christmas tree. I've probably left out some more great things i enjoy. Anyone else out there who loves Christmas as much as me and wants to list some reasons why it's so special to them?

I am currently reading Esther by Charles R. Swindoll. Although, i don't agree with everything that he says, many of his thoughts are encouraging and eye opening. It's a great inspiration book and it shows the degree of influence one person obtains. I'm not much of a book reader, but this one has had my eyes glued to the pages! I hope everyone is having a great summer!
