Enders Game
Enders Game appears to be getting slowly closer to becoming a movie.
I just hope they can pull it off properly, but I am concerned they will chicken out on certain aspects (e.g. Ender vs Bonzo). I do quite like the sound of them combining Enders Game and Enders Shadow though.

interesting. i hope they could pull it off, and really get to the deep philosophical points which IMO is what made the book so amazing. i REALLY hope it doesnt turn out like harry potter or something. actually come to think of it, my last paper as an undergraduate was a comparison and contrast of Ender with Harry Potter. ever notice the similarities between quidditch and the battle room? -
thankfully though ender's game was the other's superior in just about every way. it's core point about the nature of one's enemy should make it required reading at military academies. -
I noticed that somone else was talking about the problems with turning books into films. I am not quite as concerned as they are about this tho. -
I guess the worry is that as most of the characters are yound kids, that the studio will want it to be a kids film. I'm hoping that it's lowish budget, so they can afford to take a few risks and stay truer to the book. -
I guess going for the snitch is kind of like going for the gate. I got much bigger impression of team work in Enders tho - the quidditch matches always seemed to concentrate on Harry a lot, but that's probably just the writing style. -
No worries. Change "FOX news" to "the Sun" and it's about the same here when it somes to refugees and asylum seekers.
