Anniversary/Rodeo Fun

So Larry is in town for a few days. He leaves tomorrow to go back to work. We celebrated our 3rd anniversary yesterday. We went to the Houston rodeo and saw Rascal Flatts yesterday. We got there about 2-3 ish and parked at the event for only $5! We were shocked cause everything we saw online said $12... anyway, we went and Savannah got to see cows and sheep and she petted the bunnies. We got to eat Freebirds for dinner cause they were actually there! It was good :-) Then we went inside the Reliant Arena for the actual Rodeo and concert. Savannah fought us a lot cause she wanted to get down and walk but I was terrified she'd go falling down the stairs or something, so we wrestled with her in our laps for a while, until the rodeo started. Once the rodeo started she had a blast clapping and saying "yay!" and then finally couldn't keep her eyes opened anymore at about 8:30 and crashed for about 45 minutes in my arms. Then when she woke up she started clapping and getting all excited again. Yesterday was a special salute to the troops day at the rodeo where anyone dressed in uniform got in free so they did a special tribute and sang the national anthem with fireworks which was very good but scared Savannah... they had a special presentation with the flag and some special ops guys which was cool. The Mutton Bustin' was the best part! Little 5 and 6 year olds riding little sheep was hilarious :-) I can see Savannah doing that in the future, ha! Anyway, Savannah's calling up the stairs for me! Later!

We can't what to see the Mutton Bustin' next week when we go to the rodeo! Glad ya'll had fun! :)

That's cool. I'm sure Jimmy will tell me about it in a little while. :) I know...it's hard for me to believe I'm already that far along too...esp since I still am not showing much (well unless I wear something a little more snug around the stomach, it's still a little hard to tell). ;)

I just found out they think it was the mom's fault. So this is going to be especially hard for her to not blame herself. Cards and prayers are still appreciated. The daughter is still unconscious but they're hopeful with her.

That is heartbreaking. I'm sure it was hard enough on the mom (and the rest of the family) without having to hear that. Hoping all turns out well with the daughter.

Stone, the son of Paul and Vanessa Martin in Meeker, CO, passed away this morning at 8:15. Please pray for the family during this difficult time. He was 9 years old.

The others are doing alright. Alahna, the daughter, had surgery this morning and is supposed to be out of ICU this afternoon. The mom had a head injury but is ok. The dad was not in the car and was with the boy in Grand Junction when he passed. The Dad is now with his wife and daughter in Denver.

Paul and Vanessa Martin live in Meeker, CO. Paul is the preacher there. They have two children. Today Vanessa and the kids were in a bad car crash and there not sure if the son will make it. Vanessa has a head injury but is stabilized. The daughter has a collapsed/punctured lung and a broken sternum. Please keep this family in your prayers tonight. They are the most well behaved kids you will ever meet. Please pray.

Savannah's birthday is 2 weeks before mine :-)

She started bible class at Kleinwood today... Nana had to go sit with her for a while, but I think she'll get back in the swing of things quick enough...

We went to Spring Creek Barbeque for lunch! Had chocolate peanut butter pie and Blue Bell... yum! Now need to go in sugar coma... but Savannah won't take a nap... maybe it has to do with the ice cream she had at lunch... oops...

If she doesn't go to sleep soon... we're gonna go shopping with my birthday money!
