Be thankful for the little things

I was so proud of a couple of things that happened today. Some of you may think I'm insane that these are exciting (probably if you don't have kids), but nonetheless they were of paramount importance in my day!

1. Natalie learned how to do two place addition. Made even more exciting by the fact that I'm the one who taught her since we're homeschooling--and she's only in first grade.

2. Lydia is pottying like a trooper!

and certainly not last...

3. Clay ate BROCCOLI and liked it!!!!! This may not sound like much until you realize that his diet is peanut butter and jelly followed by peanut butter and jelly and then more peanut butter and jelly unless you would like to break up the routine with a little candy or some other sugary substance.

All in all a very good day at the Johnson house!!

Hey i didn't know you were homeschooling. Everytime a lightbulb goes off for them you should be SUPER PROUD of the job your doing! It's all a BIG deal. Your little Clay's appetite sounds like my Levi's.

The PB&J diet sounds like the one Micah was on for years and years and occasionally he would throw in a little cheese and then gummy bears...

Cool! My grandparents live in Vinemont and attend Beullah (sp?). I grew up just south of there in Hayden.

Now only if you could get Aaron to potty like a trooper and eat his broccoli. Good to hear from you; tell Aaron hey.

Hey Laurie, thanks for finding me out in pleoland. I am not very good at checking messages and posting, but will try to do better now that I have found some new/old pals out here. Congrats on all of your great achievements today, it sounds like you should mark in on the calendar in red to remember for days that are not so inspiring. How did you get Clay to eat broccoli? I'm still trying to figure out how to get Rich to eat vegetables!!
