Eli Jeffrey Harward was born 9/21/09 and could not be sweeter! He is the best baby which is a good thing being our third and all. The kids are thrilled and Zane and I are proud of our extremely good looking children. Thank you Lord for our growing family!

To please the persistent (you know who you are) I will tell about the goings on in my little life. While you wait with bated breath, I will warn you that there is good news and bad news. Bad news always goes first...
My husband lost his father 3 weeks ago. It was sudden and very unexpected. He was 60 years old. What can I say except that we miss him and we're just plain sad. If you didn't know him, go
here to see what kind of man he was.
But God is so good! My first piece of good news is that I am an aunt!! I have a new little niece named Penelope Layne and she is absolutely precious! My
brother and his
wife are as proud as can be and
she posted some adorable pictures! I love that baby girl!
And to add to the excitement, Penny will have a new baby cousin! We're expecting our third baby and we're just thrilled! God sent us comfort in the form of a little bundle of joy. :) Now He teaches us patience while we await the arrival...

Ethan at three years old never fails to surprise me. Several days ago, Zane's parents came by to pick the kids up and as we were standing outside in the driveway Jeff commented on Ethan's shirt. Well Ethan brightened right up and said, "You like Lightning McQueen Papa?" Then he dropped his drawers and stuck out his backside, slapping his bottom saying, "I got Tow-Mater on my underwear too!" Good grief.
Momma and Daddy got to come out and play for a good while. Daddy did a bang up job on his parenting series. Hurt my feelings anyway. His presentation was awesome especially with such a personal subject. Momma's ladies' class was, of course, a hit! Encouraging and motivating and very practical. We're not ready for them to go yet, but looking forward to next time. Love
y'all!

So why is that Ethan just will not believe me that the 2 on the digital alarm clock is, in fact, a 2 and not a 5? He even went so far as to go all the way to his room and come back with his little number 2 magnet to show me what a number 2 looks like and compare it to the number on the clock and say, "See, Mommy, I told you." Yeah, well, nobody likes a know-it-all. Is it wrong that I want to punish him for it?

Me: Who's there?
Ethan: Orange.
Me: Orange who?
Ethan: Knock, knock.
Me: Who's there?
Ethan: Banana.
Me: Banana who?
Ethan: Knock, knock.
Me: Who's there?
Ethan: Apple.
Me: Apple who?
Ethan: Aren't you glad I didn't say orange?
Me: Hmmmm
Ethan: Mommy? Mommy? Mommy? Mommy? Mommy? Mommy? Mommy?
(I was driving and trying to merge onto the interstate)
Me: Yes, Ethan?
Ethan: I said aren't you glad I didn't say orange?
Me: Oh yes, very glad.
Ethan (smiling proudly): That was a good joke, huh?
*sigh* :)
