A Must Place To Visit
Larry and I just returned from visiting with Brian and Ashley in Oregon! The main purpose was to attend Brian's graduation from Oregon State University on June 12th. The day was warm and sunny but no match for how I was feeling! The ceremony took place in the football stadium. I don't think I have ever seen such a well planned, organized event as this. The school claims it is one of very few that actually hands the graduate THEIR diploma!! I'm so proud of Brian!! He has always been an independent learner and he proved to be very self-motivated. Now he has his BS in Agriculture and will be starting a one year certificate course in Aquarium Management in September!!
We started off at the coast and after Sunday morning services in Beaverton, we headed to the mountains(Ashley's favorite place in the world and now mine!). The rental was more than I ever expected!! The view was fabulous!! Mountains, one after another, North Sister,Middle Sister, South Sister, Broken Top and just on and on!! You just couldn't help but catch the excitement and joy Ashley felt being there!! What a wonderful daughter-in -law I have been blessed with!!
I'm sold-Oregon is beautiful!! I just wish it was closer to Connecticut!! Love to alll!!

Oregon is a beautiful place. When I lived there I had never seen the moon the way I did there. The rainbows were bigger and brighter too. -
I am so glad you had such a great trip, Mom!! Maybe we can get out there some day! -
Central Oregon is beautiful! So glad you go to enjoy it! We took Donna and Courtney there 6 years ago. It was just a day trip, but, I'm glad they got to see the beautiful country. I hope that you are able to go back sometime and enjoy it again. -
:) It was nice to see you! -
Glad you had such a good time! It was great getting to know you better, and spending the days with you! God bless and come back soon! And don't forget to pack Buddy and Cheryl and James! :) -
We enjoyed your visit :) -
So glad you had a good time there, and glad to hear that you are home safely.. We will be seeing you soon, Lord willing. -
That is wonderful! -

hello! this is jennie mitts. :) -
^love that pic! :) -
I really tend to have to "brace" for summer. Hot has never been my favorite, which is why I can enjoy it more if it cools off at night. I remind myself that winter is hard too (seems to get harder as I get older ;-P) and try not to complain, but remember the good parts, enjoyable to walk on the beach, garden is so pretty, don't have to heat the house... Thanks for your good wishes and hope to see you soon! -
Love the picture! (the People AND the View!) I do still miss "my mountains" afer nearly 40 years. -
HI, Ro! Yes, Jordan worshipped at Exton. The preacher, Jeff Smelser picked him up. He said he knew you from RI and to say Hi! It's a small world, isn't it? :) -
Yeah I am working from home but I do have a full-time job as well...can't rely on yarn to pay for the RAV4 + school books. :) Can't wait to see you!! -
Hi, Larry and Ro! Hope you are having a good end of summer! :) -
We enjoyed it so much, too!!! We actually got to see them twice and had a blast both times!!! Peter was like a kid in a candy store at the huge lego store and then Sarah and I raided the Ghiradelli Chocolate shop like it was Peter in a Lego store. I don't think it could have been more perfect. :) -
Are you and Larry going to have any time off while we're in New England for Thanksgiving? :) -
Larry and Ro, hope you are warm and dry! Happy holidays, and heaps of blessings in the new year! -
See you in a few days!!!
