Proflowers/Easy Saver

SCAM!

Several months ago Terra used Proflowers.com to order some flowers. Somehow, some scam site Easy Saver Rewards, is linked to them. Easy Saver continued to draft $14.95 out of our checking account every month. At first I don't think I recognized it. Then I finally saw it and figured I bought something (or figured some gas station billed as that... although when was the last time I saw a $14.95 gas bill?!?!?!...) but couldn't remember what it was. Then it just kept coming at the same time every month.

So I called the bank.

They said call the phone number linked to it, and gave me the phone number. I did... and the number didn't get anywhere. So I called the bank back. They then canceled the card that it was linked to and I filed a dispute. Long story short... we got part of our money back. I intend on contacting proflowers and seeing about getting the rest of it back, we'll see how that goes.

My recommendation, don't use proflowers.com!

My second recommendation (although this would be better suited for my primary recommendation), watch your accounts closely! (Which I typically keep very close watch on.)

And my third recommendation, don't let you're wife have the debit card. ;-) Just kidding!!!!! .........

I've used Proflowers lots of times. The thing she needs to do is NOT redeem the bonus code thing at the end that you "get" after checkout...that's what the problem is. Just ignore it and you don't sign up for the nonsense stuff.

Kelly has done things like this several times. She'll order from some ridiculous website and then we'll have our accounted drafted monthly. I agree with your last recommendation. lol

Regarding my pic: A few years ago I was in the Walmart in Liberty. They had the "black history month" sign put up on a bin full of basketballs that was in the middle of the aisle.

    I lol'd.

New York, we have a problem...

Last week I attempted to fly to New York! Left Wednesday midday to return sometime later in the week. All in a Cessna 421. The plan was to leave Marshall, Texas, make a fuel stop in Petersburg, West Virginia, and then finally end in Teterboro, New Jersey.

I took off from Marshall about noon and ended up in Petersburg around 3:30 I think it was. After a quick refuel we were back in the air on our way to Teterboro. About 20 minutes from Teterboro the right engine started going crazy! I started checking gages and stuff, only to find the engine only got worse. Adding more throttle didn't help, so I pulled the power back. Bluhhhhhhhh..... engine died. Luckily I just passed over Allentown, PA. I called up New York Center, who I was talking to at the time and told them I needed to divert to Allentown due to an engine failure.

Needless to say we landed safely on one engine. After investigating it on the ground, the crankshaft broke. I got a southwest ticket home the next day. I'm going back on Tuesday to pull the engine off the plane and send it off to get overhauled. All of this and $46,000.00 later we'll have a new engine and I'll go back one more time to fly the plane home.

On the bright side, before my flight went out the next morning I went to the Philadelphia museum of art and ran up the steps that Rocky did!!!!! (Along with probably 15 other tourists!) I also had a Phili cheese steak. I was let down. I've had a better phili cheese steak in Destin, FL than Phili had. I also plan on visiting Scranton while I'm there in the next few weeks!

If you're my friend on Facebook I posted a video one of the passengers took of the single engine landing.

We drove through Scranton once. We drove around town trying to see familiar stuff, but were slightly unsuccessful. But we did find out that the mall has the welcome to Scranton sign from the opening sequence of The Office. I got my picture with it.
