*sigh* Oh well.
Update on Lauren's life: Everyone today has been asking how my break was, and I keep using the same word: WONDERFUL! It really was. I got to go visit Matt and Katie in Pittsburgh for several days, celebrate Christmas there, and meet the church, which was so good. For New Years, we had a singing at our house with several teens/college kids from the area, as well as several families from church, and it was one of the best weekends I've had in a long time. There was (of course) bluegrass, and those who wanted to stayed the night and we went hiking at the Narrows of the Harpeth state park the next day. The weather was perfect, the people were wonderful, the scenery was beautiful...it was a fantastic day.
And now I'm back at FC! And it's already shaping up to be a FANTASTIC semester. Busy, but I'm happy when I'm busy. I'm going to be involved in quite a bit this semester. Piano lessons/ensemble will take up quite a bit of time, as well as yearbook, Freshman Class officer things like planning the sophomore cruise, etc. I also just found out that Kathryn (my roommate) and I will most likely be the stage managers-in-training for the spring musical, and I'm extremely excited about that. I wanted very much to be involved, and this will be perfect! We'll also be working very hard in chorus to get ready for tour on spring break, so that will be a lot of time too.
But, I know I will love it. :)
Although I normally think that New Years' resolutions put too much pressure on me and if I mess up I can't try again until the next year, both the new year and new semester are making me want to improve. Over break I had a lot of time to think about it, and I also had the opportunity to hear a wonderful sermon from Gary Henry about the advantages of daily bible reading, whether or not you get it done in one year, and that is something I've very much been slacking in. I'm trying to read every day, and hopefully get it read this year. Keep me on track! I can use your support. My roommate and I are also trying to make time every night to read Diligently Seeking God and pray, and I can already tell that will help a great deal.
For those who are interested, here's my schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday:
11:00--Intro to Music Lit (Payne)
12:00--New Testament History and Geography (Peeler)
1:00--Chorus (Bassett)
3:00--Western Civ: 1600-Present (Crispell)
Tuesday, Thursday:
8:15--Intro to Music Tech (Payne)
9:15--Piano lesson/ensemble practice (Mrs. Barlar)
12:00--New Testament History and Geography (Peeler)
1:00--Chorus (Bassett)
2:00--Marriage and Family (Dickey)
4:00--Yearbook
I'll have voice lessons too, but they aren't assigned yet.
If you can't already tell...yes, I am trying out the music program. Most of the classes will count for my AA requirements even if I don't end up doing the program, and I'm technically almost a sophomore already by credits, so I had some time to experiment. We'll see what I think. :)
Well, that's probably way more than you wanted to know, but I thought I'd put an update on here before my life got too hectic again. I love you all!

I think a sign of how tired I am is that I don't remember writing the previous post.
Just wanted to say hi and that I love you:)
