Okay...I got her picture taken on Sunday afternoon with this amazing photographer, and besides now being $100 poorer (mom said she'd split it with me)...haha...I was extremely pleased with the results. She's sooooo stinkin adorable! I ordered only one pose, and I think after you see it, you'd understand. I couldn't take my eyes off of it!

In other news...we're finally moving! I feel like my life has been consumed with packing for the past six months, and it's finally about to pay off! We're driving down to Mckinney, Texas on Saturday to our gorgeous new house!!! I'll actually have my own room again!!! Well...I will be sharing it with a certain baby, but I'm not sure I could be in a separate room than her. I think I'm a little attached. Could be hard when I go back to work...speaking of...I have a second interview with the Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas for a position with a Urologist. If I end up getting the position, I'm going to start the RN program at a local college during the evenings so that in a couple years I could more than double my income! I'm still going to teach lessons on the side, and then when Madison goes to school, I'm going to go back and finish my Bachelor's. Ah...life plans...lol...well, I just wanted to catch everyone up on my comings and goings. I'll be sure to send the new address and phone number to anyone who wants them.

Today was the most traumatic day of Madison's little life...the first set of immunization shots. If any of you have been with a baby while receiving these hellish things, you've heard the sharp scream followed by the pathetic wail and hiccups that go on endlessly. The nurse seriously procrastinated giving them to her, but finally we (and I do mean "we") had to endure three horrible piercings in her thigh. Agony...pure agony...Shawn (the nurse) was crying, I was crying, and of course, the woman of the hour, Madison, was crying her little head off. She's been running a fever since the whole ordeal this morning...her legs are hot and tender. This could possibly be the worst part of being a mother. So we've had a pretty rough day...she can't seem to get comfortable, and I feel completely helpless.

On a lighter note...for any of you new mothers out there, or women aspiring to become new mothers...I have discovered the perfect diaper...Pamper's Swaddlers. Not only do these diapers feel heavenly to the touch, they also stretch to fit!! No more pinching!!! So go get you some Swaddlers!

Hey...I know it's been a while, but I wanted to get some new pics of Madi up...enjoy!

Wow...I can't even believe I'm coherant enough to type, but I wanted to let everyone know that Madison Layne was born Thursday, February 17th at 7:58am. Just a quick run down of events...I had an appointment on Tuesday, and my blood pressure had skyrocketed, so my doctor wanted me to come to the hospital Wednesday morning for a non-stress test with the knowledge that I could be induced that afternoon. Dr. Darter decided to admit me because we couldn't seem to get my blood pressure down. About 9 that night, he decided she needed to be delivered the next morning, and since I hadn't dilated at all, he scheduled a c-section. To be honest, Thursday and Friday were pretty much a blur. We couldn't get my blood pressure under control. Friday night I had a seizure from the blood pressure. Definitely a scary experience. Since then, I've definitely improved, but I know it'll be a while before I'm 100%. Anyway, please keep me in your prayers. I'll be on medication for 6 weeks to control my blood pressure. Dr. Darter said I wouldn't have any other problems, and that I wasn't even guaranteed to have these same problems with future pregnancies. Madison's doing great. It's amazing how identical my baby pictures are to her's. Anyway, I'm going back to bed, but I wanted to let everyone know that I'm doing well, and that hopefully I'll be feeling back to my old self soon. Thanks for all the phone calls and prayers.

So, my jail sentence is supposed to start tomorrow. However, I am going to give my work til the end of the week to make arrangements. My doctor says I'm too active...haha...and to be completely honest, it's somewhat of a relief to be ordered to stay in bed. I had some great fun contractions from 3pm Monday until about 6am Tuesday, but alas...no Madison. He doesn't want me to go into premature labor. I can't say that I blame him. I sure wouldn't be looking forward to having me and my family in the delivery room. Between mom crying, "Don't hurt my daughter!" and my grandma yelling, "Shut-up and PUSH!!", it's sure to be a fiasco. Anyhow, I'm going to use this time to work on Laura's graduation quilt and start the diaper bag for Madi. 35 weeks today...only a few to go...this feels like the neverending pregnancy...haha...
