Such a great weekend…
I had Saturday off, but offered to work a coworkers shift so she could go out of town. Which I would only do b/c I love my job. :)
Before work I had the pleasure of eating lunch with my old roommate/road tripper Adam, and Jessica gill. They are such a blast. Over the last month I have had the great opportunity to meet up with quite a few BGers. Three weeks ago I had dinner with alexis, and last Monday I had lunch with tara, and then adam this past weekend.
Anyways, after lunch I went into work, which is always entertaining. I was closing on Saturday, so it was me and two other coworkers. For 3 hours, we had no appointments, and no calls and no one stopping in. so sam and I took funny pics with our point and shoot cameras, and brian surfed the internet. Until our last appointment showed up.
Ok I have to vent for a minute about this appointment. I know not everyone in the world is as smart and handsome as I am (ha HA) but these people were pretty much morons. Here are a couple examples.
1. The family was a husband, wife and 3 year old girl. I go back and ask if they are ready, they say yes. We go into the camera room, and I start to get them in position, and the mom asks if she can fix her daughters hair. I say yes.
On the inside I am saying, “WHAT THE CRAP?!?! I JUST ASKED IF YOU WERE READY AND YOU SAID YES?!!?!?”
2. When they are finally ready, I tell them to both have a seat on the ottoman, and have the little girl sitting in their lap. So they couple goes and sits down, and the little girl is sitting in her stroller thing. So they start asking her to come sit with them. Both of them are talking to her like she is a grown up and can actually reason for herself. So after asking her nicely to come sit with them, and she blantantly ignoring them, they turn and look at me with eyes saying “what do we do now?”
I look at them and say very matter of factly…
“Get up. Pick her up and move her.”
In my mind I said “ ARE YOU FRAKING KIDDING ME??!?!?! WHO GAVE YOU GUYS PERMISSION TO PROCREATE??? PICK UP THE LITTLE BRAT AND MOVE HER, DON’T TRY AND REASON WITH HER, SHE IS ONLY 3 FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!”
3. Now that they are finally in position, we have to wait for the little girl to finish chewing her mouth ful of cookie.
Kyle’s Helpful Tip #453: DON’T GIVE YOUR KIDS COOKIES MINUTES BEFORE A PHOTO SHOOT. THE PHOTOGRAHER WILL APPRECIATE IT.
3. Eventually my coworker came in to help, b/c I must have been speaking French b/c the family didn’t understand anything I asked them to do. But no, they were just idiots b/c they wouldn’t cooperate with my coworker either.
In the end it was a good sale, and they left happy. So we left happy.
OH and my little niece lana stopped by and was in such a terrific smiley mood. Man I love that little peanut. And her mom is pretty cool too I guess… ☺
Sunday, I worked like always, and it was so hilarious.
Here is an example of our fun working Sundays:
1. sam booty dancing up on me and casey, and then finding out teri hates to have butts on her.
2. The assistant manager purposely talking like she is mentally handicapped during a sale.
3. Sam and I trying to get our butts as close to teri as possible while she is in a sale.
4. Making fun of people walking in the mall, which is an all time favorite.
Today is one of my 3 days off this week… so I and just hanging out at home until tonight… tonight I will parrrrrrty… my coworker Alyssa turns 21 today so we are going to a party at her place, and then some of us from work are taking her out this Friday after work… so much fun will be had.
In other news, I’m 3/4 of the way through with book 3 this year. Which reminds me of one of my resolutions:
1. Read at least two books a month for the entire year.
Well, that’s all… Hope everyone is having a splendid new years!
Love ya,
kb

You're so happy and that makes me happy. We're happy. I didn't name her after you, BUT every time I say her name I think of you for a split second. ;) Walk it out. -
As to cookies before a photoshoot--totally agree, however some of my favorite pics of Noah, are when he is 18 months old and I brought in a whole container of Chocolate chip cookies. He is wearing a great Cookie Monster Sweater and I scattered cookies all around him and handed him a couple and let him go to town. The photog got great shots of my Little Cookie Monster....so so sweet! -
i encourage more of the butt thing. hysterical!! -
Wow, that sounds like quite the photo shoot. I'd have had some mental conversations going on too! -
Haha - I love how different what you were saying was from what you were actually thinking! Glad you held it in! :)
the many faces of me
