9/11/01?

i was in 4th grade and we were acting out a skit from the Civil War.
ms. banks came in and told my teacher, ms.murray.
her fiancee was on a plane to new york that day and i remember her absolutley losing it. very sad. thankfully, her fiancee (now husband) is fine. he wasnt on that flight.

we watched the news all day and ms. murray finally got in touch with her husband around noon.


so, tell me. where were you? what were you doing?

    I was at home with Chance, our foster child. We were having a GM with Gary Sandusky and he was staying with us. I just remember watching CNN all day and wondering what was coming next. It was like I couldn't stop watching it. I also remember that Gary changed his sermon that night and incorporated what was going on. I remember thinking that it was a good idea because it was on all our minds and it was hard not to think about it. A very sad and frightening day.

    I was brushing my teeth and walked into my suitemate's room where she had a "movie" playing. When I asked what movie it was, she said the news.
