I know I'm terrible about updating. But...

Chelsea took her first steps a several weeks ago. We were so excited! She is really walking a lot more now. It's so fun to watch. She is really starting to look like a big girl.

Here is a picture of Chelsea standing up by herself on Valentine's Day.

She loves her Papa and gives him lots of kisses!

Grandmama and Papa say goodbye after a really fun trip.

Happy Birthday! I guess this means I've only got 2 more months of 26, huh? :) Chelsea is absolutely adorable. We really need to try and be in Nashville/BG at the same time sometime so the girls can have a playdate.

She looks exactly like Brent. I just hope she does not eat as much as Brent when she is a teenager, otherwise she will be a truly big girl. She is cute. When your dad holds your daughter, he does not look that tough after all. I can just remember, Major Sargent Psycho Sir? Did I get that right?

^ Ha ha! Yep, he was Sargent Psycho. Little girls have a way of melting my dad's heart. You'd be surprised at how much I could eat as a teenager while I was playing sports and I was never very big. Maybe she'll be like me in that respect.

Hi! I just noticed your baby ticker and realized you're about 3 weeks ahead of me! I'm somewhere between 29w2d and 30w (depends on whether you ask me or my dr...hehe). CONGRATS!!! Have you found out if you're having a boy or girl? Or are you letting that be a surprise? We couldn't wait and had to find out. We're having a boy. Well, just wanted to say "congrats"...hope all of you are doing well.

No problem about the delayed response...I knew it had been a while since you posted (I don't really post much anymore either, but I still log on every so often to see if anyone else has updated). Glad things are going well with the pregnancy. If you lived closer, our little ones could be playmates. ;)

UPDATE: I let Chelsea try her cake again after lunch today. She took a while but she really got into it. She didn't eat very much of it, but she had a lot of fun playing with it. It was fun to see her pick a big piece of cake an crumble it all over the place. Maybe she was waiting to celebrate her cousin Anna lise's birthday that is today. Or maybe she's celebrating Caroline's, Eli's, or her aunt Rose's birthday. Anyway, Happy Birthday Annalise, Rose, Caroline, and Eli!

Chelsea didn't dig into the cake and make a huge mess with it like I thought. It was actually kind of boring. She played with the icing and tasted it a little, and really just wasn't sure what to do with it. Oh well...

Later I gave her a bite of Chocolate cake and she ate that. So, I offered her another piece of cake in one hand and a slice of apple in the other. She chose the apple. I guess she wants to be a healthy eater. I'm okay with that!

It's a shame she didn't eat much of the cake because it was SO good and very cute! My friend made it for us. Thank you!

I'll try to post pictures later. It was a very fun birthday at the zoo and a nice party on Saturday. My parents and grandparents came. It was so nice to have them here to enjoy the day with us.

so be it...s'more cake for the rest of us!

Hey, good for you guys! Addison wasn't too big on eating her cake either, but boy did she EVER play in it. She made a huge mess. Chelsea is super cute, I clicked on your link below and saw some pics. I'm still so happy for y'all, you know having a family and all that good stuff. This year has gone by sooo fast!!! I think the last time we saw her she was only a couple of weeks old. Maybe we've seen her since then, but time has really flown this year more than any other year of my life.

Here you go! :-)
4 lbs of Granny Smith apples (cored, pealed, cut)
1 1/4 cup. sugar
1Tbs. lemon juice
1 Tsp. cinnamon

Combine ingredients in a crock pot and cook on high for 4 hours. Serve warm or cold.

I left out the lemon juice this time because i forgot it and it tasted just fine.
