So, since I have updated last, many things have happened.
First, my new neice Alynn was born May 26. SOOO cute! And Bella is so sweet with her baby sissy, but sometimes wants to play too hard with her.
A few days later, my grandfather died. He had been in ICU for a month and then in a rehab hospital. He was doing so well, but then developed aspiration pneumonia. Mom and I stayed in Bradley with Aunt Julie and Nanny for 4 more weeks to pack the house and wrap things up. We have brought Nanny home to live with us. She is doing so wonderful! She loves being a part of the Broadmoor congregation and going out to eat on Sundays for lunch and dinner. And she loves shopping! It is so great having her here. She is so sweet and I love her so much.
Alyson and her girls came and stayed with us for two weeks in July. Nanny and Bella are best friends now. Bella climbs up on her footstool and sits between Nanny's knees on top of her blanket and they play and talk for long times and watch veggie tales. :) So sweet.
I took my nursing boards and passed! I am now officially a Registered Nurse. :) Now, to find a job....
Friday night my great Uncle Ross died. Mom, Nanny and I are leaving tomorrow morning to fly out there for the funeral and will be there for a couple days.
That's about it for this summer. People keep asking me when school starts again (apparently I look 18 and about to go off to college for the first time), it feels funny when I tell them I'm finished with school. :D AHHH!
Ciao!!!

Due to the common acceptance of Christmas being Christ's birthday some songs are only played on the radio around the holidays. One such song that I love and that never fails to give me chill bumps is the song "Mary Did You Know?" If you have not heard this song or didn't really listen to it, please look it up on youtube or something. It is one of the most powerful songs I think I've ever heard about Christ and Him being God in the form of a baby. It truly is amazing. I know own a cd with the song on it (a christmas cd made by a friend from school) and I pop it in all the time and just replay that song. I never tire of it.
Well, the holidays were great! All of the family was together for a few days and then my grandparents and aunt, uncle, and
cousin came up for a few days as well. It was a lot of fun just getting to hang out and play games and such. My neice is such a trip...but she got a cold and started getting fussy by the end of it. I would too if i had a nose that wouldn't stop running and a sore troat. Poor baby.
My sister is going to have another little girl! :) Bella is going to have a little sister, I'm so happy! Sisters are wonderful people. And if there comes a little boy later, then they can pick on him together! Haha!
I am leaving bright and early tomorrow morning to go to Arkansas for winter camp! I'm excited! There's still things to do to get ready for it, but it's not as much work as summer camp. This winter camp will be more relaxed and more spending time with each other and studying the Bible. It'll be great! Please keep me and all those still traveling for the holidays in your prayers!
God Bless You,
Katy

So, I figured it was time for an update. :)
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and hopefully it will be the last one that I have to worry about homework during the break!!!
After this week, I only have 2 weeks left of school. It'll be a CRAZY two weeks trying to finish everything up, but Lord-willing it will all go smoothly.
After finals, it's Christmas with the family! I am so excited to see everyone together again...it's been a while!
After Christmas, it's winter camp in AR!!! I am soo stoked! Summer camp was great and I know winter camp is going to be a blast!
After that, it's job searching for after graduation!!!
In some ways it feels like it is definitely time to be moving on with my life and be out of school, and yet it's a little nerve wracking to know i'll be out there in the real world.
I can do it! :) I'm still looking for places to move too, so any more suggestions? keep 'em coming!!
Thanks to God for a beautiful fall and wonderful year He has blessed me with!
Katy
