4 years ago from today Fred and I got married. These have been the best years of my life, I married the greatest guy:) Happy anniversary to my favorite person in the world!

He doesn't really sing. He's more of a major producer and songwriter. He has major #1 hits, but it's often others that record these. For instance, he made mega bucks off of "i'll always love you" by Whitney Houston, because he produced and arranged it. Dolly Parton was the songwriter, but David Foster was the magic behind it.

Ok...so I know I'm gonna sound like a total dork here but who's excited about the new Harry Potter movie, I can't wait for it to come out!!! Anyways, who of you out there is going to be in line opening night, I'll tell ya right now that I'm going to be in that crowd:) I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the books! I read the first three 5 different times and read books 4 through 6 at least 3 times, I've only read the last book once but I'm thinking I'm gonna have to re-read it before the movie. I told ya'll that this was going to make me sound like a major dork, oh well.

Onto some new news...Fred and I just put a contract on a house!!! It's in the process of being built but it's mostly done already, it should be completely finished in less than 60 days from now. I really like the stage that the house is in, it's got all the dry wall up and the outside is mostly done but we still get to pick out the counter tops, counters, appliances and flooring. we're suppose to be closing either on or before September 15th. I'm very excited about this, it finally feels like we're laying down some roots. Fred and I have moved quite a bit in the last several years, after this move we wont be doing it again for quite some time, I can't even begin to tell you how good that feels. I probably should have led this post with this paragraph instead of telling you all how obsessed with the Harry Potter books I am, so, if you're still reading...thanks:) Hope you all have a happy 4th!

Your poor dad got stung at least 60 times tonight by yellow jackets. I know you know how painful that is. He was giving the Slone's boat a push and stepped right in a nest. His whole backside was covered, I jumped off the boat running after him yelling at him to jump in the pool. He wasn't going so when I reached him I took off my shoes and started hitting at all of them on his back side still yelling, jump in the pool. I don't think he realized how many were back there, he was just getting rid of the ones he saw on his front. I never got him in the pool but finally swatted them all off of him. Meanwhile everyone else was running for cover and trying to keep the little kids from being stung. I got only two stings, Grandma got one on the tip of her nose and on the inside of her lip. She feels awful. Poor dad just keeps burning. Looks like he is in the clear though. What an eventful last couple of days!

Yes I have read them over and over too. I'm not even sure how many times. I didn't start reading them until I had seen the first couple of movies and decieded I would really love them. Then as I would wait for the next book to come out I would reread the previous one. A couple of months ago I saw an advertisement for the newest one and I reread it and the last one.

And technically the whitewater rafting is 2 hours away, but that is a short drive ( at least it is for whitewater rafting). within two hours you can get any class of whitewater you want, but for me the rougher the better. I hope to go to WV and raft the new and Gaulle river in the next couple of years...

Actually last year at camp Ryan got stung by a wasp and had a really bad reaction but didn't have to go to the doctor. They were saying he might need to get an epi pen. I remember reading that about your dad. That is terrible! I would have freaked out!

So This Is Whats Been Going On

It's been awhile since I've posted, I'm not very good at posting often but I enjoy reading everyone elses posts...anyways, here's what's going on.

I went in for an interview today for a management position and the manager interviewing me loved me so hopefully I'll get the job! I was interviewed by two managers and it's up to the original manager who interviewed me so hopefully she liked me too.

Fred has been studying TONS for his upcoming actuary exam, which is next Friday, so hopefully he'll do well...wish him luck:)

We're going to be going to FL towards the beginning of August and Fred and I will get to meet our niece, Brooklyn, for the very first time. I'm really excited about our trip and I'm hoping time will fly by and August will be here before we know it.

Fred and I are planning on purchasing our first house by the end of November, we want to get that $8000.00 tax refund for first time home buyers. I pretty much look at houses every day online, which is kinda silly, I find one I really want and then it's gone a couple days or weeks later. Fred thinks it's funny that I'm completely obsessing over this but I'm really excited about it...plus, I think it's good to get a feel of what's out there and what prices you can get certain houses for, I don't want to get taken:) Another reason that I'm excited for a house is the whole having a yard thing. That's the thing I've missed most since we've moved from FL. At least when we were in FL we could go to my parents house and go out in their yard but now I don't have one to go to. I doubt we'll be able to get as much land as my parents but I want something big enough for a garden, I want to grow tomatoes, corn, black berries, and herbs...and maybe a few other things. I think a garden would help decrease our grocery budget too.

That's pretty much what our lives consist of right now, sorry if this post is a little dull:) Hope everyone out there is doing great, I can't wait to see all you Floridians when we come to visit!

I would love to have a garden too! Our back yard is mostly rock. There is a place for a garden but I am afraid the dog would have her way with it! (: Best of luck with the house buying!

Even with small yard you can grow alot of fruits and vegetables. Container gardens are easy and some can look good too.

I agree! You know, even when you are dating someone that is committed to the Lord, you can find yourself in compromising situations. There comes a time when that temptation is just very real and you have to take extra precautions to protect your purity and your boyfriend's purity. I will definately be discussing some of this depending on what my dad's late night talks are.

The picture is one I took with my cell phone of a field of blubonnets though a fence gate. I was driving through Brenham on my way to my Dad's. The bluebonnets were beautiful this year. That's the Texas state flower.

Ryan and Erica had little Brooklyn Jean Harbaugh at 1:11 this morning. She weighed in at 6 lbs. and 13 oz and she's 19 inches long. Both Erica and Brook are doing great. I've only gotten to see pictures so far but as of right now you really can't tell who she looks like. She's got very kissable cheeks and cute little poutty lips...I'm so excited and I can't wait to meet her!!!!

Well, it's been awhile since I've last posted so it here it goes.

I'm going to be an aunt in less than 3 weeks, woohoo!!!

I'm getting certified tomorrow for first aid and adult/child/infant CPR. I'm trying to get a job as a nanny so I figured that would help quite a bit.

I've actually quite enjoyed not having a job for a little while (Fred would like for this to change:), I've been to FL. every month since we've moved to SC...which is part of why I love SC so much:)

I'm teaching the 4 and 5 year olds at church right now and they're the best behaved class I've taught so far, hopefully it will continue to stay this way.

Fred's now studying for his 3rd actuary exam, everyone wish him luck, they're kind of hard from what I hear.

We're thoroughly enjoying the 70 degree weather right now...

And that's what's been going on lately. Sorry it's not much but I couldn't think of anything else:) Hope everyone's doing great!

I was a nanny and I loved it all except for the temper tantrums. Staying home entertaining kids was nice. It was a nice change in pace compared to my job as a bank teller. I would love to be a nanny again. Hope you enjoy it. I teach the young kids at church too. I love helping them learn about God!

We flew southwest which is who we always fly. My dad buys the business select tickets so he can board in the first 15 people. They didn't refund him since he did end up getting a front row seat with extra leg room. He didn't even bother them about it once he got that seat.

Yeah, Sophie is an indoor dog too. She sleeps in her kennel in our room, and sometimes on our bed with us! She is such a good inside dog. She does not tear things up anymore and is potty-trained. She likes to be outside but knows she belongs inside!
