Well, for those of you that aren't on facebook...Fred and I are going to be parents. I'm 14 weeks right now and the due date is January 24th. Needless to say, we're both very excited. We'll find out what we're having on September 15th, unfortunately I have to wait till I'm 21 weeks because of scheduling conflicts, I guess I'll live though:) Anyways, I would appreciate any prayers. I had to do clomid for about 6 months and finally got pregnant and then at 9 weeks had a miscarriage so after another 6 months of being on a combination of clomid and metformin I'm finally pregnant and now into my 2nd trimester. I was still hesitant to announce it just because of what had happened but people are going to start wondering, my clothes are starting to not fit so well anymore:) Hope you all are doing great!

Martha had her PET scan done yesterday and it didn't come back how they'd like. A tumor was found in the bottom of her lung and another in a lymphnode. They are hoping to treat the one in her brain with the cyber knife procedure which is what they used to get rid of the last one. As for the others I don't know what they plan on doing yet. They will be meeting with a DR. at some point today to discuss their options. Please continue to pray that she will be healed and that this cancer will be rid from her body. Thanks so much for your prayers....and Mary, Martha's daughter says thank you too:)

I know I don't post on here much any these days but I would like to ask your prayers on behalf of someone. We just found out on Tuesday that my very good friends mother, Martha Brown, has a brain tumor. She started her battle with cancer a couple of years ago, it started in her lungs. After several treatments and a surgery to remove one of her lungs she went into remission. A year after being cancer free she started having terrible headaches and had a CAT scan done where they found a brain tumor. She had surgery several months ago to have this tumor removed and had to go under a couple of procedures and some very harsh medicine as well. After removing all of it she started to do better. She had trouble putting weight on for awhile (she probably weighs about 90 lbs.) because of the steroids the DR's had her on but she finally started showing progress, and her memory was getting better as well (her memory was greatly affected due to the brain surgery they had to do to remove the tumor). She started vomiting the other day and her head started to hurt again so they did a scan and found another tumor this past Tuesday. Martha met with a surgeon yesterday and the surgeon said that as long as there are no other active tumors in her body they would be able to remove the tumor. She has a PET scan coming up soon to check for these tumors and we'd like to ask that you all pray that there are no tumors so that they can procede to remove the tumor in her brain. Please pray for the whole family, it's been very difficult on them. Martha is around the same age as my mom and a very sweet person and such a strong christian. Her daughter Mary is someone I have become very good friends with here in SC and she is pregnant and in her second trimester, this has been very hard on her, not being able to be there for her mom since Martha lives in TN. Please pray for the Brown family and especially for Martha. Thank you!

Fred and I are headed to the mountains this weekend for a much needed get-away. He has been cramming for pretty much the whole month of October for the actuary exam he took this past Tuesday (which he did well on:). With all of his studying we hardly got to see each other over the past couple weeks so we're going up to Asheville to celebrate our anniversary (a little late, but better late than never:) and the completion of his exam. We're going to the Builtmore and this is suppose to be the first weekend where they have all the Christmas stuff out. I'm very excited, I've never been there before but I've heard how beautiful it is. And of course we can't go to the mountains without getting some hiking in.
I'm going to try and be better at posting in order to keep in touch with some of you all better. Hope you all are doing well and have a great weekend!
