Blessings

My family in Mobile have yet again been spared the brunt of an enourmous hurricane. They have some damage, flood waters in my mom and uncles house, and no electricity for a few weeks, but that is a blessing compared to what those just thirty or so minutes away are dealing with. The disaster by this hurricane is unbelievable, but it's amazing to me that so many people are pulling together to help those in need. Aaron's aunt and uncle live in Mississippi where the eye wall hit, and amazingly enough, there house was spared as well, although the others in their neighberhood were filled with water, some to the roof.

In all of this, you have to stop and realize the power of God. Men are so knowledgable, and we have come so far with technology and continue to grow. However, even our technology can not stop the fury of nature. Nature that God has created. We are so respectful of nature when it is headed towards us at 175 mph, but do we stop to think from day to day that God created hot sunny days as well...we should be respectful of that. God's power is amazing, just as he had the power to create such a storm, he had the power to stop it. I have chills all over my body when I hear news reporters interviewing victims of the storms. So many of them are standing on their roof, which is spread all over the ground, and can still manage to say "thank God, I'm alive, material things can be re-built, however long it takes"

Blessings. It could have been worse. Don't underestimate what has happened and the destruction that was done, but pray for those who have lost everything. It may be a hot and humid day out, but thank God. He created it all.

The most precious baby!

Today was great! I woke up to a rainy morning, and headed over to the Barr household to keep baby Conner. He's so precious! He was such good baby while his mommy was away. I can't explain how honored i feel to be trusted with this valuable jewel of theirs. It has been so amazing to see j and j grow as parents. They are truly wonderful. We had a great morning, he had a little cereal (yucky looking stuff) a bath, and played alot. The best part was holding him as he fell asleep. That has always been one of my most favorite moments in the world. Everytime I have babysat a small kiddo, holding them while they fall into slumber is the most peaceful thing!!! I'm so blessed to know such a handsome (Aaron says he is a boy so he's strong and handsome), adorable and happy baby!!!! Don't get me wrong, we aren't ready for our own in any way at all, but I see so much how God gives baby's as a blessing and reminder of innocence.

interesting comments. But I do have to agree with you. Holding babies while they sleep is amazing. Camren was the most fun to hole when he slept! :( But now he is such a big boy! They will be in town this weekend. Maybe I will bring him to NB on Sunday night. How's your dog? What's the dog's name? Boy or girl?

well, no news is good news. Sorry we didn't get to see you on our mini FL vacation. WE were only in the state for 32 hours, so it was kind of jam-packed. I hope the marriage and dog training are going well.

This week has been a big week. We did it....we decided to get a puppy. We decided last saturday, so I spent most of the day looking on the internet and calling people. We knew we were either going to get a Sheltie...or a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel....well, the cheapest CKC Spaniel I could find was $900. The Britts are too proud of their pups. Aaron's first love are shelties anyway, so the search was on. We narrowed it to two breeders, we were in close contact with one, only to find out two days later that she sold two, and the other broke his leg. We decided on Thursday to go on over to St. Pete to look at this litter of puppies, and fell in love. He's a great dog, I have yet to hear him bark, he likes to sleep, play some, sleep, (repeat steps 1 and 2) all day. He isn't sure about the whole potty thing. He goes outside to play, and inside to the bathroom floor to do his duties. We're working on that. We put him in his kennel at night. AND HE SLEEPS! SO WELCOME APACHE! (aka, patche and patch)

Graduation is May 5th. It's gonna be a kinda whirlwind trip, and I'm not sure yet exactly when we'll be arriving and leaving. But we'll be in touch!
