Hunter was baptized last night. Praise the Lord.

Hunter came in at 11:07 last night after we had gone to sleep. He woke us up and said he wanted to be baptized. The best I have ever felt being woke up by my child in the night. We called Mark M and him and Teresa and their nephew Austin met us at the building. I also called mom and dad and they met there as well.

Very proud of his decision and continue to pray that he will stay committed to his decision.

Thank you Lord.

He sounds very conscientious and with the faithful support he has around him, I'm sure he will be faithful to his Lord as well. Yes, praise the Lord!

Please pray for these two babies

Some of you are on facebook and have been seeing my updates on these babies. Neither one is doing very well right now and the families who have been so faithful and strong need some encouragement and strenght. Please say a prayer for them.

A brief summary on Andrew Hagewood - (His mom and I graduated from Male together and we were roommates at Western) When he was born on 2/6 his heart walls were too thick and he had to have a heart transplant. Against the odds he did extremely well waiting for his new heart. (He broke records at Vandy) However since his transplant he has really struggled mainly due to a clot. Due to the clot he hasn't been on normal feeds and is extremely weak now and many new problems have arose that were not there before. This is a brief update from his family. They update on his condition twice a day on Facebook.

Status Update
By Christy Page Hagewood
Good evening to all in Fb land. Andrew has had an ok day. His blood pressure was up and they had to give him medicine to get it back down. He did have a bronc on his throat to see where the blood was
coming from when he is suctioned. He was found to have a raw place in his throat. They will try and not turn his head so much to prevent the rubbing. As this was happening they noticed that his kidneys quit producing. They are trying to get them back on as we speak. They also are trying a new medicine for the blood clot. They will give it a couple of days to see if it helps before surgery is talked about. He did wake up a few times and was happy. Thanks for your continued prayers.

The Hagewood's

The second baby with Alexandra Collins ( her grandparents worship with us and her parents are members at Eastland I believe) they do updates every two days on Caringbridge

http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/teamalexandra. She just had a stem cell transplant and has developed VOD which is a very serious condition. Please pray for this family also. As the father stated it is so difficult to see her in pain.

Thanks for the prayers.

That makes sense and that was what I was thinking about my blood pressure that because of my back problems it had gone up. See two heads are better than one. My chriopractor usually keeps me in line but not getting on top of it this time. Patience, patience, patience.

Thanks for the info. We haven't had much luck with the ICC even though my husband works at Norton. Last time I called, it was 2 1/2 hr. wait & they directed me to the ER. I might try a Walgreens or Kroger clinic.

Feeling Good.

I actually feel good today! Thank you Lord! I think I can actually do some brain work which I haven't done in weeks. (remember I am an acct. and it is tax time) I normally love to read and can read a book in a day sometimes. I haven't even felt like reading and in the last two weeks have only read 1 book I couldn't concentrate. I am so thankful for all the prayers and words of encouragement. This has been the sickest in many many years. I see such great progress now. Thank you Lord!!

Prayers Requested updated

I would like to request prayers for me especially for tomorrow. I have been having respiratory problems for about three weeks. But I have not been responding to the very powerful antibiotic they are currently using. I am allergic to all other antibiotics. I am for the 2x on the very highest doses of steroids and still need breathing treatments every 3-4 hours. The pulmonologist and allergist have decided the best course of treatment is for her to be desensitized to an antibiotic in the doctors office tomorrow. If all goes well it is a 1 day all day arduous process otherwise I might need to be hospitalized to be desensitized to an IV antibiotic. Please pray that the procedure will go well and I will respond to the successful to the new antibiotic. Thank you.

The one I am be desensitized to is a 4th cousin of one I had a very severe reaction to 20 years ago. So it is a little nerve racking and the reason I try to avoid antibotics at all cost but it seems that I waited to long to take one this time and my body just can't shake it.

thanks for the prayers.

Thank you so much for all the prayers. I believe God answered the prayers will a yes and provided answers to some questions.
What a difference a day makes. As my mother sent out the prayer request yesterday the night before had been the worst night in 3 weeks as far as breathing difficulties go. After consulting with the allergist and pulmonary doctor we had a course of treatment on a new antibiotic starting todaTuesday so I did not take the Levaquin yesterday. It now appears that I have developed a severe reaction to Levaquin increasing my breathing problems and now tendonitis a severe and well documented complication of Levaquin. While this is not "good" news it does provide some much need answers to why I was getting worst. Having been off the Levaquin now a day and a half I am breathing better then I have in several days. Just needing treatments ever 4 hours. Now you might be asking yourself why take something with such severe complications. This was the last category of antibiotic that we thought I could take safely. However now I can not take this category either. The great news today is that the desensitization was successful and smooth. I can take this "round" of antibiotic as long as I don't miss a dose I can not go more then 12 hours without it in my system without going back to the allergist. So in the future if I need any antibotics I will have to go through a desensitization process but we know that it can be done for me.

Thank you again for all the prayers. I know that they helpe

We send our prayers from Arkansas. We are on vacation. We are also sick. I am feeling better as is Joshua. Carlton is now having signs of the same stomach/flu virus. So far titus and timothy do not have it. However, we are not as sick as you. Once again our prayers are sent your way.
