after a series of events we now have 7 hens. one of which started laying two weeks ago. we've gathered 8 extra-large, beautiful, pale green eggs. wa-hoo! not sure what the other 6 hens are waiting on...

I thought chickens don't lay in the winter??? At least that's what our Vet. friend at church who has free range chickens told us. Im guessing come spring time you'll have so many eggs you won't know what to do with them :-)

Thank you for the comment on the hymn. I'm glad you like it. Jimmy is taking down light fixtures, and I've been farming out all the kitchen contents to the office, utility room, and bedrooms. Preparing meals will certainly be an adventure! If all else fails, I can let the tea steep in the bathroom...right?
