Well, I've been paying too much attention to Facebook and neglecting pleo. Sorry. School is back in session so we stay pretty busy with homework, worship, Monday night Bible study, etc. But, life is good and we are very, very blessed.

So, I finally got a digital TV converter for my TV. HOW SWEET!!! Instead of three channels (since I don't have or want cable) I now get about 12 or so channels and they are CRYSTAL CLEAR!!! Much better!

Well, that's all the update for now! Life is good...we are blessed...no complaints here!

Back from vacation...

Branson was awesome...and so relaxing. We spent a day at Silver Dollar City, went horseback riding, shopping, played mini-golf, saw the Noah's Ark musical. It was great! Makenzie wasn't ready to come back. It was nice to get away and just spend some real quality time just the two of us. Now I'm ready for another vacation...and another...and another....... :o)

Fun fun! I've been to Branson several times, but not for a few years. Did you guys go in the cave at Silver Dollar City?

As of Friday at 4:00 p.m., I will be on vacation for 9 days. We are spending part of that time in Branson. We are going to spend a couple of days at Silver Dollar City while we're there. We are also going to see the Noah's Ark musical, which I've heard is UNBELIEVABLY incredible (and they use live animals). Then we'll also spend one day at the outlet malls shopping for new school clothes. We are so excited we can hardly stand it! Then we'll return just in time for school to start a few days later. (Mak is not so excited about that part!) Please pray for our safe trip. Thanks!

It's time to get serious and drop some major poundage! So, I need some really delicious, healthy recipes to keep me going. I'll be doing my Herbalife shakes once or twice a day. They are REALLY good! Tastes like cheating, but it's healthy! But I need some healthy dinner recipes. I'm going to allow myself one cheat day a week so I don't burn out. And - I just bought a treadmill, so I'm excited about getting back to exercising. Please pray for my continued determination and discipline. I need it. I read a quote that puts it in perspective. It says, "My choices today will determine my success tomorrow."

If you have any recipes in mind, I'd love to have them -- and thank you in advance for your prayers and encouragement. I really appreciate it!

It was so sweet of you to have us over. You made everyone feel very welcome and that is the most important thing. The food was great and I was disappointed I didn't take home any leftovers. As for the animals, they didn't affect me and I had no nightmares of snakes last night, so all is good. You guys are so nice to us old people.

Was that cucumber or zucchini (sp?) in the spaghetti. I'm thinking it must have been the latter, or you found out a way to cover up the taste of cucumber so that I actually like it, haha
