I was just lying here thinking about my guys and their wardrobe choices and how much they differ from my girls. We, of course, had three little girls before we were blessed with our first son and were quite accustomed to frilly things and shiny shoes that made tapping sounds when they walked...all things girly. Girls can be so particular as to what they want to dress in. turns out, so can boys. From the time he was just a little guy, Jacob has been fond of boots. He has gone through a couple of pairs of rain boots (those aren't just to wear in the rain, btw), hiking boots, and about 5 pairs of cowboy boots in his 7 short years. Those are definitely his preferred choice of shoes. He will wear them with jeans, slacks, and even shorts. He has worn holes in them, rubbed the heels off, and had to duct tape the toes because it looked as though his shoes could eat something.;) Well, now we have been blessed with another little man and, at merely two years old, he loves to clomp around in his red rain boots, shorts, slacks, it doesn't matter. People smirk and chuckle as he comes clomping into worship with his inconspicuous red rain boots on. I love to see that torch being passed down from big brother to little brother. I have to admit, I know I'm going to miss seeing little boots around someday.

I haven't done a Levi post so I thought I would do one.:) He just recently turned two so we are getting a taste of his little personality. I love it! He has a little spunk in him! I can't really say who I think he acts like...i think perhaps a little bit of several of them rolled into one. He has a great smile...so big! He is such a boy...loves, loves sports already. Clay is cheering about that one. Ha! Also, motorcycles and guns are fascinating. He steals Jacob's toy guns and shoots them and hides them from Jacob.:) He definitely has a little mischievous side to him, too. He gets this little grin and cuts his eyes in a funny way...it makes us laugh. I would say on the not so positive side, he has picked up Olivia's incredibly loud shrieking! I guess he doesn't want to get lost in the crowd.;) I love having my boys! I hope they are great friends someday, like my girls are.
Ok, so it occurred to me that I have been either pregnant or nursing for the last 92 months....and that is only with my last three kiddos. I don't add the other three in because there was a break between #3 and #4. Guess I've been a little busy.:)

It seems as though just after a month after posting my last post, the Duggars found out that they had lost their baby. They had went in for a routine 19 week ultrasound and found the baby, a little girl, had died in the womb. How terribly heartbreaking. They named her Jubilee Shalom. It makes me look at the six faces of my little miracles and makes me so grateful that God has protected them, thus far, in life. Prayerful that He continues to do so. I know losing a child, at any stage, has to be the MOST heartbreaking thing any person could go through.

I LOVE watching 19 kids and counting. Anywho, last night they announced that they are expecting number 20!! I was so excited. I loved Jim Bob's words he spoke to his family after announcing to their children they were expecting again. It made me cry just a little.:-)
