A VERY LONG DAY!
I took a really big nap tonight, so now I can't sleep. For anyone who didn't know, I am homeschooling Spencer. He is a student of Ohio Virtual Academy. They use the K12 curriculum. Anyway, we are very new at this and today they had a "Learning Fair" in Athens. It took us 2 hours to get there, but I'm glad we went. Spencer displayed some of his art work and a story he wrote. He met several kids and really hit it off with some of them. It was nice for me to meet some other parents and some of the teachers from the OHVA. We have only been at this for a short while, so it was a very good experience to actually talk to some of the other families. Anyway, Spencer got a ribbon and some really good comments from the teachers on his work. I'm a little biased, but he is really talented when it comes to art. I have a picture framed of a tiger that he brought to me when he was 5 years old. He had watched a guy on PBS and then drew this tiger. I remember being a little bit wierded out because it did NOT look like a 5 year old drawing. Anyway, I'm proud of all my kiddies and I'm glad Spencer and I had a good, but tiring day. I was tired that I slept through the movie we rented tonight. I wanted a romantic one for Valentine's Day, but Spencer picked Pirates of the Caribbeean III. I liked the first one, but now I think they are just wierd. I had no idea what was going on, so I slept beside Kent on the couch while they watched the movie! :) At the risk of making my kids nauseous if they read this - I still had a great Valentine's Day because I spent the evening with my husband - who has been my Valentine since I was 11! Only he didn't know it until I was 16 - when he decided to be my Valentine too! :) He told me once when we were dating and I was begging him to stay at my house longer that "someday after we were married I'd be wishing he would leave". I'm happy to say that 20 years later I still DO NOT want him to go ANYWHERE! He's a great guy! Okay, enough mushy stuff! I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day!

We are good. Nothing major...just the same old stuff. Been trying to get over the bronchitis junk. Not fun!
