I have to say... this is both hilarious and sad at the same time. But more hilarious than sad because it makes me laugh every time I watch it. This dog really loves cupcakes it seems and when the dog trainer fuses its love up cupcakes with its newly-learned "away" command... and the dog realizes what has just happened and it sets in... and the LOOK on the dog's face is something I never thought would be possible on an animal.

Taylor has bacterial meningitis. She'll be in the hospital for 2-3 weeks minimum. Thank you all for your continued prayers.

On Sunday, December 21st at 12:35pm, my daughter, Taylor Valentine Bridges was born. It's an amazing thing looking at her and knowing that she is a part of me. Part of what's so amazing about that is the fact that she's so beautiful - I'm not sure which part of me did that.
I can't say enough about Courtney. I am so proud of her. She did so amazingly well through the whole birth I can't even imagine what she was going through. It was extremely hard for me just being there and not being able to do much for her. I don't want anyone to think that I am putting them down for getting an epidural or that anyone is weak if they did - but the fact that she did it without any drugs at all just makes me so proud :) She has even already said that she would probably do it again the same way. She's incredible!
Our life has been turned upside down all of a sudden as any new parent knows. The lack of sleep so far the past week has taken its toll (especially for Courtney... for every lost hour of sleep for me she lost at least two) but we know this is the beginning of something wonderful in our lives. I will never ever forget the first time I held Taylor in my arms. I knew immediately that the rest of my life was going to seemingly go by in a flash. I can't wait to see it though... I can't wait to see her grow up.

8/16 Update: So 8 gold medals. He should go around Mr. T style now with all 8 draped around his neck.
That guy is amazing. If you missed his 100m Butterfly final tonight, catch the highlights. He's some sort of human/fish hybrid.
