"My Sacrifice"
Hello my friend, we meet again
It's been awhile, where should we begin?
Feels like forever
Within my heart are memories Of perfect love that you gave to meOh, I remember
When you are with me, I'm free
I'm careless, I believe
Above all the others we'll fly
This brings tears to my eyes
My sacrifice
We've seen our share of ups and downs
Oh how quickly life can turn around
In an instantIt feels so good to reunite
Within yourself and within your mind
Let's find peace there
When you are with me, I'm free
I'm careless, I believe
Above all the others we'll fly
This brings tears to my eyes
My sacrifice
I just want to say hello again
When you are with me I'm free
I'm careless, I believe
Above all the others we'll fly
This brings tears to my eyes
My sacrifice, My sacrifice
I just want to say hello again My sacrifice.

We're so funny :)
Last weekend.
:)
i'm all cuted out, only from looking at pictures. :)
:-) love you too! I seriously have a sign on the front of my desk that says "Mrs. Childress' Rules ... 1. Don't puke on Mrs. C, 2. Don't breathe on Mrs. C., 3. Don't bleed on Mrs. C, 4. Don't cough on Mrs. C
lol looks like you found the solution to the CHHHHHHH! problem haha and I kno a band that is much better than creed ... that would of course be relient j!!!!!
Well my life right now is consisting of band, school, band, drumline, more band.
So yeah in our band competitions these past few weeks, here are the results:
Plano Drumline:2nd place in our division and
4th overall?
Carrollton Tournament of Champions:1st place babyyyyy :)Outstanding in Division 1
Outstanding Musical Execution
Outstanding General Effect
And drums came in 2nd!
Plano East Marching: WE BEAT POTEET.But we got 2nd, but since we beat poteet, that means we won in my book, and the rest of the senior class :)
Outstanding Visual Performance
Best in class 5A prelims
Best winds.
Drums came in 7th in Prelims and 3rd in Finals, so a HUGE jump :) Have you ever competed against poteet and had them beat you so bad? Well our band has had that EVERY year. Even the year we went to State Marching they beat us, they got first place. They are the defending state champions and the 4A somehting Honor Band. So this felt so good my senior year, the last time I ever compete against them :) The end!
Yaaay all this band has finally paid off :)
And pre-UIL is on Wednesday!
So tell me about your life :)
ahh band, i remember those days, except i only carried stuff onto the field :)
be nice to my band... they still rock... but I am very glad you guys did well... you TOTALLY deserve it... I get to go to my band reunion friday and see the (in my opinion) the most awesomest band... but you know... Wylie is my second favorite... I am biased just a little... ;)
and about the competeing against Poteet and them beating you so bad... I would have to say that I had the privalege of doing that... but when I was in the band we were nice about it and congragulated everyone that we would pass or see because everyone did their best no matter what... except when it came to beating out Coppell... then we rubbed it in their faces... but that is because they were mean...
They probably hve gotten a little full of themselves since they have won so much... but we had too... and we were still nice... I guess they just expect to win everything now... that is stupid... we used to get mad at people that were like that... one time we counted how many trophys we had and there was like 150 or something and we were like cool... but we never got big headed about it... yeah there may have been those few, but still... Sorry... I appologize for them...
I liked your show. After you show I asked my directors why we can't have a show that good. I also asked the percussion instructor when we were going to have a cymbal line. Hopefully next year.
did you have fun? cuz i didn't have fun at work.... he got the man-lift stuck in the auditorium of our church building.... remind me to show you where he messed up the carpet.... lol
Senior year is GREAT! I actually do my homework, when I usually don't! lol. I just wrote this sweet paper that is amazing. the end.
I love that guy. He's my favorite. :)
So i'm really considering quitting band, but I don't want to be a quitter. Not right now, but at the end of the semester. I'm so tired of the band directors, well just two of them. One of them this is his first year here and he is satan in human form, no joke. The other has been here for a couple years, and now both of them together are like 10 times worse. The new one yells at us every single day at practice and it gets us no where. Maybe it'll end up like Remember the Titans to where we are amazing and win state or something, but we don't have state this year. oh well
IMHO, I say finish what you start, you have to condition yourself for life where you have to deal with people like that. If you quit, they win. If you stay with it, you win.
Ah I haven't updated in so long! I've been so busy with band. Pretty much 9 hour days, it's so tiring. But I somehow love it :) I know it will pay off big time this fall! We have two new directors and they get the job done, we've gotten so much done. Next Monday we start learning the 2nd movement! Oh and everyone should be here for...
Plano Drumline Comp. - September 29 at Clark stadium in Plano
Lonestar D-line Comp. - November something, I don't have that on my schedule yet..
But anywayyy enough about band.
All my friends are going to college and LEAVING me :( But i'm excited about being a SENIOR! ohh yeah! And I get to hang out with all the drumline now, and it's so much better. We have to do 20 push-ups if anyone cusses, our section leader came up with that. That's a really good idea, when it's 103 by 11:00 some people let it slip, you know? This year will be so great :)
Okay I'm super tired.
I love the push-up idea. Maybe I'll implement in in grad school. We'd definitely get really strong :P
i TOTALLY wanted to go to the after party, but we had to get on home. sad day :( but :) i'm glad we got to hang out! on another note, i definitely fancy the push-up idea.
