Planning on a wedding next summer after we graduate!

2 Peter 3:8 “… that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”
Okay, so I’m not trying to make any absurd Paula=God connections, but I definitely understand what Peter’s saying in that verse.
Paula 2007-2008: “… that with Paula her freshman year at FC is as one day.”
Wow. Where did it all go?
Soccer: I played my first year of college (ha) soccer. I scored two goals, including a game-winning header during our trip to Georgia.
Beach Trips: Being so close to the ocean is GREAT!
Downtown Disney: I only went once, but it was such great fun for such a low price (gas)
Buffalo Wild Wings (BDubs): Tuesday night 50 cent boneless wings. Nuff said.
Monday Moe’s: I was a spontaneous attendee of this cheap deal: $6.37 for a burrito, chips, and sweeeeeet tea. WELCOME TO MOE’S!
Fall Break: I drove from Iowa to Alabama by myself for the first time, and then drove from Alabama to Florida with four guys in the middle of the night.
Hockey Games: I developed a love of the Tampa Bay Lightning and went to 3 games this year. I can’t wait for next season!
Midnight Madness: When I fell in love with my CRAZY society Psi Beta.
Society Sports: I played in every single one. Frisbee and football were my favorites, and I was the Psi Beta female athletic MVP!:)
Bern’s Steakhouse: Only the nicest and most delicious restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Twice.
Disney World: My second time there, but way better than the first. Christians make everything better. As does being able to go on the stage in front of the castle.
Spring Banquet: Getting asked in chapel in front of everyone/my first ice skating experience/banquet getting rained out at the end
And possibly my favorite thing…
Sitting on the picnic table outside Dicus/the swings: talking to amazing people about anything and everything
I was blessed with the most amazing roommate on the face of the earth. I became super close to my suitemates, whom I will miss like crazy next year!
I feel like if Florida College ever needs a rep to go out and promote FC, I should do it. Obviously, the school has flaws. But I missed over two weeks of COLLEGE and what I got from it was prayers, calls, emails, and cards from the faculty and students (and some make up work). I couldn’t have chosen a better place to spend my freshman year of college.
I’m already super stoked about next year: I will be rooming with Danielle again and Rachel Sulc will be our suitemate on the first floor of the new Terrace Hall. I’ll be the photography editor for the Royal Palm, play soccer, and am SBGA Vice President. It’s definitely going to be a great year.
This summer will certainly be interesting. I’m living in my old house cleaning it out. If you’d like to come help, or even just to visit, PLEASE DO! I’m always welcoming guests. I’ll be working at my old job (coffee shop). I’m taking several vacations-California next week, Kansas for the 4th, plus visiting my suitemates in Minnesota several times and going to Alabama to see family.
Sorry this was so long, but it has been almost a year since my last update and a lot has happened!
--Isa. 40:28-31--
I thought I should probably update....
I'm sure most of you already know this, but my mom passed away on January 20.
I just want to thank all of you for your prayers, cards and emails during this time. I can't express how thankful I am for the Christian family God has blessed me with, especially all of the people from FC that have been there for me.
I was able to come back down to school about 3 weeks ago and I've been caught up with my classes for some time now.
I hope you have a great Thursday!

My mom has been getting a lot worse lately. Basically, they don't give her much time. Because of this, I'm staying in Alabama with her for the time being. I'm gonna try to take some of my FC classes while I'm here. She needs someone with her at all times, so during the week I'm here from 9pm-9am and then other people stay with her during the day while I sleep. She's out of it all the time, so she hardly ever talks to me.
Please, please, please keep her and the rest of our family in your prayers. This is a really hard time for everyone.

I've stayed off pleonast for quite a while now, but I think its as good of a time as any to come back...
We found out a few weeks ago that my mom has lung cancer. She moved from Iowa down to Alabama to be closer to her family so they could take care of her. She's just been going to various doctors appointments lately, but today she found out that she'll probably begin chemo next Wednesday. This is sooner than we thought. I'm planning on going back to Iowa and bringing my car down in two weeks(fall break) but I might be going up next week.
Please, please keep us in your prayers, and tell anyone you know who knows us but doesn't have pleonast, too. I'd really appreciate it.
