OK - It snowed here last weekend - as well as in many other parts of the upper midwest. I'm so done with winter weather. On my last post, I thought Spring was in the air. The weekend meeting was Great!! Mike Anderson is staying at Mizzou which is a good thing. I feel sorry for Billy Gillespie and hope Calipari and UK bomb out (although they probably won't). Maria's b-ball team won their first game of league play - although her v-ball team lost their first set. Lastly, Matthias has been asked to create a Winter Holiday card for Sutherland Lumber. I will probably be more excited about this than he will. However, once he see's the printed card - he'll probably think it's pretty cool. Hope all is well with everyone.
PS. Can someone come clean my house? Ha Ha!!!

My tulips are coming up and some are getting ready to bloom. The trees are blooming, too. I had 3 more trees removed last week. I'm down to 6 trees. Yeah. Our spring lectureship is this weekend. I hope to see some of you all out there at the meetings. We did not end up getting a puppy which is good for now. As Maria is doing 3 sports, school track & field (mainly field events), competitive basketball & a rec volleyball league. The boys are still taking karate and Matthias is taking an Anime class at the Art Institute. With the eclectic group that is in that class, he's just another kid which is pretty cool. I'm still working on projects on the house as well as spring cleaning and trying to get a baby blanket knitted in the next two weeks. Lastly, Missouri made it to the Sweet 16. This year I love March Madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It.'s been a long time since my last entry and much has happened. The holidays came & went smoothly. I was glad to see 2008 leave as it was a crazy year for us. However 2009 is starting out very wierd, as we have unexpectedly lost 2 at work within a weeks time. We have a new president now. ?????????? Maria played basketball on her schools team and improved although the teams record was not good. She is now on to Rec volleyball and probably field events on the school track team. The 2 kids who don't want to be sick (Maria & Matthias) have been sick with Strep. Sterling is still hoping to get sick. We are getting a new puppy this weekend. I am very apprehensive though Maria wants one very bad and is paying for it and it's supplies herself. My house is a mess as I am painting my dining room slowly but surely as well as a new front door and trim work. I have two new light fixtures installed and have done new hardware in the main bathroom. I will be glad when my house is back to normal. I'm not a very good multi-tasker and have be in the midst of too many projects at once. I just got done with teaching the toddler bible class for the last 6 mos and am happy for that break. Last but not least is the Big Monday rival game between KU & MU tonight. M-I-Z-Z-O-U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I waited an hour to vote - which I do not think was too bad. It will be a very historic day in my lifetime. While most of us are very sick of the political hoopla by now. I am very thankful to live in America where we have a choice - where people of different color/ethnicities and genders can run for elections and have a say/vote. Whether the candidates we want to get it do or not, we have a lot to be thankful for. Happy voting today.

So Matthias's goal in life is to be an author like Theodor Seuss Geisel aka Dr.Seuss. So he is working on his first creation Green Potatoes and Quiche. It is obviously a total take off on Green Eggs & Ham. He is so excited about it. After Bible Class last night, he came home and started working on it. He has not finished it yet and I honestly do not know how late he stayed up working on it last night. (I know bad mom) I'm seriously thinking about getting it bound in book form. He and Sterling really need to hook up on this, as Sterling has a more developed imagination and Matthias can draw most anything. It is so fun to see kids get so excited about projects.
