I'm still alive! And I fixed my car. And I'm now studying Choral Music Education at Oregon State University! (who just eliminated Stanford from the PAC-10 basketball tournament!), and I sing with a group called Outspoken! Things are going well, I'll be having a much more productive/pleasant term this spring, so keep an eye out for more hopefully good news!
Here's a video my mom took of one of our performances:
Philly was great! Our chorus did really well, we placed 12th in the world!
Got to see the Liberty Bell (through the window), Independance Hall, and the building where the supreme court met from 1791-1800... (Pics of everything are on Facebook)
Philly itself kinda scared me... Especially at 2am... lol.
But the moral of the story is:
If you're gonna try da' Cheesesteak, Pat's trumps Geno's...
Well, for the first update:
I've mentioned before that I have been taking basketball classes at PCC and mentioned our tournament once... Well this time my team actually won! I got a sweet Nike b-ball T-shirt to make it official :-D
Update number 2:
I am now officially an Oregon State University Beaver! I got accepted as a transfer student, and have been toiling away on all my aid and housing options the past few days... I'm really looking forward to this new experience and the opportunities it will give me...
Update number 3:
I will be leaving for Philadelphia on Tuesday to compete in the Barbershop Harmony Society International contest! I am going with a young men's chorus called Northwest Vocal Project from out of Seattle; we are competing in the chorus contest hoping to place in the top 10... Go to NVP's website for more info about us :-D
