Lydia has been wearing purple fairy wings around her bedroom hoping it will make the mommy bird like her better.

This weekend a mommy and daddy bird moved into our palm tree right outside Lydia's window. Today we saw a little egg in the nest. The nest is about eye level for the kids and only 4 feet from the window. We are all very excited.

Today I overheard Lydia talking to the mommy bird through her open window saying she was a friend and she liked her babies.

We found this website to help identify birds. What Bird Check it out. I used the "search" page to help identify our little lovebirds.

    Lydia sounds so sweet!! We have been enjoying watching a female and male Barn Owl raise their owlets in an owl box in California. There is a camera where you can watch them 24 hours a day online.
