it's SO much better than high school.
having two jobs is tough, my last day at the chinese restaurant is tomorrow though, so thats good.
I started working at the cafe in borders today, i caught on pretty quick.
again... because I can't say it enough... I love college.
all my classes are great and i have great professors!
Political Science
Math
Microeconomics
Women in US history
Music Appreciation
Uni (like an intro to majors class..)
and Marching Band
I was going to take a language but it just didn't gell with my schedule.
I'm really busy. And I love it.

I compiled a list of things to share with you all, hopefully to spark some intruging conversation...
but...
I lost it.
(Rambling commences)
It's pretty much the middle of summer, and I feel like a dead beat, haha.
I got a car! It's a 1999 Ford Escort. It's a cute little first car and I'm falling in love with it..... although it's a standard.
Needless to say, (but I'll say it anyway) I've had several... mishaps. Such as stalling in the middle of traffic and having awful things yelled at me!!!
Driving around more has also reenforced the point to me that a little bit of patience goes a long way.
The same day I got the car I got my Advanced Placement exam results back for a literature class I was taking this past year. I scored very well on the exam, and I'll be going to college with NINE hours of english credits already! (Three of those credits were from a class I took the year before.) I'm thrilled about that.
Speaking of college, I opted out of an early orientation so I could go after vacation time and things of the like... and now I somewhat regret it.
All my friends have their schedules of classes, but I have to wait till August 20th! Ba hum bug. The suspense is killing me.
I didn't get the starbucks job I was hoping for a few weeks ago.... but now I'm kind of glad, because I found out they're probably going to start selling BEER!
That is INFURIATING. Starbucks will completely lose the class it once had and the intellectuals will be replaced with drunkards!
So that has been whats on my mind lately.
Any input?

My previous blog was "crazy_lady", but I felt like that had a lot of... skeletons, I guess? And I made it when I was like... 12. So I decided to delete it and now this is my new pleo!
For those new to this blog, and because there are no previous entries to compile random facts about me from, I'll give you some information about myself. I'm 18, and going to Marshall University (We Are... Marshall!) in the fall. Right now I'm pretty set on being an International Affairs major, although that may change. I've worked at a chinese restaurant on and off for the past year, and I enjoy learning about different cultures. Traveling all over the world is something I hope to accomplish at some point in my life, sooner rather than later. I live in Huntington West Virginia, and attend Huntington church of Christ.
I just returned a few days ago from a wonderful trip to the Teel family reunion. Although I am not a Teel (or a Koen... or a Moyer...) I was welcomed warmly by people I've only met once or twice in my life. That was nice. (: I learned how to play SEVERAL card games I've not played before such as: Hearts, Nertz and Spit! What I enjoyed most was probably the singing... it was fantastic! Spending a week with such a wonderful family was extremely encouraging, and I hope our paths cross again soon!!
About a week before I ventured westward to Indiana, I was in Alabama! While I was only there for a short period of time I met several new people and enjoyed spending time with people I've gone WAY too long not seeing!
"The grass isn't always greener" does seem to have a negative connotation to some, but it really is just a fact of life. And if there are any closet marching band nuts out there reading this.... after seeing the 2009 Carolina Crowns show, that phrase is no longer negative to me. (ps, they're gonna win finals this year, for sure.) I would elaborate more, but there's corn in a pot on the stove I can't wait any longer to sink my teeth into!

EDIT: After looking over my entry post publication, I've realized how BIG and LOOMING "the grass isn't always greener" is.... So I just wanted to add that my experiences for the past few weeks HAVE been greener. :) Thanks for that!
