Home. Again. Sick. Again.
This time I'll quote my favorite game of all time, Metal Gear Solid, to give you a small glimpse into what is actually wrong with me:

"Liquid!"

That was a sweet post about your wife! Now that quiz is wierd! A little funny, so now you know how many 5 year olds to invite to Meredith's birthday in 3 1/2 years. The zombie thing is gross! ~shudder~ I hate zombie movies! ;)

I don't do this often, but I figure now is as good a time as any. I don't acknowledge my wife here on pleonast too much, and there's a reason for that. She's a completely different person on here; she stalks tons of people, makes up usernames just to start trouble, and occassionally updates my account with posts about pooping, which she commonly refers to as "BMing". All in all, inappropriate.

But seriously, just kidding.

I was really sick all weekend, all three days of the long weekend, and my wife really put what she wanted to be doing to the side and took care of me. We were supposed to go to a Paw Sox game on Saturday night - we even already bought the tickets - but instead she stayed home with me. Anything I wanted she got me; anything I needed she helped me. She was absolutely wonderful.

This is really just a long way of praising Courtney by sharing it with all of you.

Courtney, thank you. I love you.
  • comade
this is so nice, wow, thank you so much! I really appreciated coming home last night to your attempt at moving furniture, that was so sweet!

I took Meredith to see Wall-E last night. It was a fun time, Meredith sat through the whole movie with very little complaining. The movie was very good, I recommend seeing it if you have the chance. And definitely try and see it in the theater, it's worth the money. It's completely clean, the CG is the best I've ever seen, and it's just a great story. What's neat is it is told not by dialogue, but by expressions. You just have to see it.

But this post is not all robots and rainbows, for whilst on the way home - actually, when I was backing in to the driveway - poor Meredith got sick. I felt so bad that I had taken her to the movies and she probably wasn't feeling well. She got sick a few more times after we were home and then she asked me to pick her up, pointed to the bedroom, then to the bed, and she curled up on me and fell asleep. Until she got sick one more time.

But she's in high spirits today, so it must've just been a small bug of some sort.

Before I go I have to share this hilarious story:

At work yesterday, a little girl, probably about 4 or 5, was talking to one of our nurses, and the nurse asked the girl what her little sisters name was.

She responded: "I named her Captain Huggy-Face."

Best. Name. Ever.
  • angelad
You seriously are the best dad ever. That story about the little girl is too funny!

Poor Merry! Glad she did well during the movie, though. She may not have been feeling well, but I'm sure she enjoyed the daddy time.

You know, that 4 or 5 year old little girl had a good idea.... you can let Merry choose your new baby's name. :)

ok, Word Girl is on right now (waiting for George to come on). I just got Kim's comment, word girl's sidekick is Captain Huggy-Face...so much for originality, still funny though.
