Making the best of a bad situation
Poor little guy (my great-grandson) has the croup and a very bad case of "teething". But he managed to find comfort and thought it was funny when he came walking out of the bedroom like this.
He kept them in his mouth like that for about 20 minutes. I guess they just hit the right spots to make him feel better.

okay, like I said, it is quite early and I got to bed quite late so here's what I came up with... Go to YouTube. Put "Discovery Toys Super Yummy Teether" in the search. Let me know what you think. I am going back to bed. But first to answer the question that brought me here... East Texas, currently Kilgore. WE live in Akron, Ohio. Do you live in Texas?
In the far left corner of our back yard.......
is the very, very tall sweet gum tree that we have been concerned with for some time. It is or was, like 3 big trees grown together. Some months ago, one of the trunks fell, knocking out electricity for several houses for
nearly a whole day. There was a second section very near high wires and in danger of falling. We had engaged the services of a tree cutter who had agreed to take it down for $2,460 and later said he really wasn't charging
us enough to cover all his cost. Then, he said the ground was too wet and it may be the middle of the summer before he could get some big equipment in to cut it. Artie asked me to call the electric company once more (they had said it wasn't their job to cut that tree). So, I called and asked if they would just come trim it because it was now growing over high wires and very near them. They came and looked and decided it was their job to get it down....sooooo the second trunk came down (see picture). The third trunk is not dead and poses no eminent danger, but we have a neighbor telling us he wants it down because it might hit his building if it ever falls. Don't think he will get his wish. I had no idea what problems we were buying when we bought this house! Trees are so beautiful, but can really cause trouble. The drought last year hasn't helped any. The effects are showing up now, according to the tree cutters. Pretty scary!

Pray for Katianna's family and friends
Katianna passed away today. So far, the doctors never have determined what caused her illness and passing.
My son said that today would be a very hard day at school.
