Is there a record for the longest average time in between posts? If so, I think I should be in the running. Anyways...

Life is good at the close of my second year of graduate school. Only two more years of classes, 1 year of internship, and 2 years of post-doc. Shouldn't take too long....

Church is going well, moving forward on several fronts..which brings me to my question...

Did God intend for a church to function on a long basis without Elders? It seems to me that both the bible and 1st and 2nd century writings indicate that a Church should be in one of two categories:

1. Having Elders
2. Activiely Developing Elders(Having men who are qualified who will soon be Elders)

Many churches that I have been to and heard about are continuing to function without the leadership God intended.

Thoughts???

Well, sportsfans it is finally that time of year again! Time to watch the Florida Gators play football. A few points about the upcoming season:

1. Offensively we are very explosive. With Tim Tebow, Percy Harvin, Andre Caldwell, an expreinced offensive line, and the spread offense we should score a lot of points. Also, if you haven't heard we gained a new runningback who transfered form USC. He should fit nicely into the system as he was the second leader rusher at USC last year.

2. Defensively we are young but not neccesarily weak. One name you may want to remember is Major White, our new free saftey replacing Reggie Nelson. He has had an excellent summer of practice and he will be one of the many emerging young defesive stars for the Gators.

3. Many networks have picked lSU to win the SEC, defeating Florida in the championship game. This, I see as an oversight. WHY? LSU's kyptonite may be there offense. With a new QB and a depleted list of playmakers they may not be able to put points up on the board. Mark the LSU game on your calenders as the game of the season.

Lately, I have been writing some new songs. I have almost finalized one and I will post it on youtube and here soon. I might have a contest to see who can write the best lyrics and (vocal) melody. Stay tuned!

So, lets start where I left off. I now live in Duluth (Atlanta) GA. I am happily married to Andra, love my baby boy Caleb, and I am in graduate school for clinical psychology. What more could a guy ask for you say? Well a line 6 flextone 3 approved by Steve Wallace, thats what! My new toy is the perfect way to releave some stress from grad school by rockin 150 watts. Oh life is good, guitar players report in!!!!

Whats up guys! I don't really know what to say so ill just start randomly babbling. I plan on going to the University of Florida in the fall and my housemate will be Keith Earley among others. I have the best girlfriend any guy could ask for. Her name is Andra Bartlett and I love her to death. (feel free to throw-up anytime, I don't mind) My summer consists of working at the photo-lab at Kmart in ocala, Florida, talking to andra, sleeping , and eating. Ladies and gentelmen it just dosn't get any better than that. I really can't spell and really don't care. I really wish keith would contact me to talk about moving in (cough noise).

On a more serious note I have noticed something about myself this summer and maybe a few of you out there can relate. Since the summer started I have made a solid effort at studying my bible more and praying more. And you know what.... I have found that it really does help keep you spirituality where it needs to be. Granted thats not all there is to it, but it affects you in a good way. Before i had always shrugged those activities off. I didn't make time. In conclusion, in my opinion praying and studying the bible regularly has a huge affect on one's life.

Finally I hope everyone has a good summer and does the best they can in everything they do!
