Loren Grace at 6 months

Madeline Faith at 6 months
I just got back Maddie's 6 month picture today (although she actually turned SEVEN months old today!) and I LOVE how similar the girls look. Precious babies-I'm so blessed!
I hate I don't blog much anymore. Facebook has become my new site for photos and updates-it takes such less time, and these days I'll take all the time saving opportunities I can get. :)
Since my last update, we're all still doing very well. Most of you know, but just for the few who may not baby Maddie was diagnosed with an eye disorder back in September. She has esotropia of the eyes-meaning she is extremely far sighted and one of her eyes turns inward when she tries to focus on things upclose. We have a wonderful pediatric opthamologist in town who we've already been to twice since September and he's watching Maddie very carefully. His treatment for now, has been to prescribe Maddie little glasses-and when I say little I mean LITTLE. They are the tiniest things I've ever seen. We're thankful to God that he has given man the ability to advance medically and discover ways to help us deal with obstacles that come up along life's road. These glasses have done wonders for Maddie and have literally opened up a whole new world for her. With her glasses, she is seeing beautifully and for that we are so grateful!
Of course, Maddie's glasses are not the only thing to report with her. She has absolutely stolen and captivated my heart. She is the sweetest baby with such a fun little personality. She loves her Momma (which I am of course LOVING) and is such a little cuddler. She is eating and sleeping FANTASTIC-last night I got an 11 hour stretch out of her!! She LOVES big sister and loves when big sister pays her special attention. I've really enjoyed getting to know Maddie over the last several months. She has already taught me so much!
Here's a recent pic of my little THREE month old-where does the time go!

Loren turned TWO September 25th and that really just seems impossible. We threw her an Abby Cadabby party at the park and had such a fun time. Nana came all the way from Virginia, Aunt Emily came up from Tampa, and Mum, Grandpa and Aunt Emmy (along with cousin Micah!) made the trip from Orlando. We all enjoyed being together and celebrating the first two years of Loren's life together. Loren is such a source of JOY for me. I just have so much fun with her. She loves life and loves people! She is talking and SINGING up a storm. She loves "Jesus Loves Me" and does a fierce rendition of the "ABC's". :) We're currently working on potty training and it's going really well. She just seems to be getting bigger and bigger every day-I don't know where the time is going. I had a bit of an emotional moment this past Sunday. I was looking at her and couldn't believe how much she didn't look like a baby but DID look like a little girl. I told Mark our baby Loren days were gone and just teared up. It's amazing how fast those days really do fly by. I would never want Loren to go back, I love her at this stage-but I'll always LOVE the memories of those sweet times. She is a wonderful big sister and a wonderful daughter and I thank God everyday for this sweet little girl!
I can't seem to find much time to blog these days. :) Wonder why?!
We are doing wonderful... Maddie turned six weeks old today. That is so hard to believe. They say it goes faster with the second, but wow, I had no idea HOW fast! She is just the sweetest baby and we are loving her to pieces. Loren is a fantastic big sister and helps Mommy out every way she can. She's adjusted so well to having a little sister and we are so thankful for that.
I'm lazy, and so instead of uploading pictures to facebook and pleo, I'll just give you the link to the facebook album:

Mark and I celebrated five wonderful years of marriage last Friday. We had a wonderful night out and enjoyed the quiet time we had to talk-you forget what "quiet" means with little ones. :) I'm thankful more everyday for Mark and for all he does for our family. We're three blessed girls!
Hope everyone is well!

It is so hard to believe little Maddie is already THREE weeks old today-time flies! We were so blessed with another wonderful delivery with Maddie. I went into the hospital around 11:00 am, my water broke around 1:00 and I had her after 4 pushes at 7:05 pm on July 2nd. She was in a face up position, so that made laboring a little harder then with Loren, but we made it through it with the help of my AMAZING nurse, mom and sister... and of course Mark! Funny part of my labor-I told my nurse that when I felt like I needed to push with Loren she came in about three minutes, so to be prepared. Well, Maddie beat Loren... I felt the urge to push and TWO minutes later she was born. My midwife didn't even make it in time-the nurse (and Nana!) delivered her... it was a whirlwind and a tad chaotic at the end when they all realized I wasn't kidding when I said she was coming. It felt so amazing to hold Maddie in my arms-that moment is just breathtaking. I'll never forget the first time I saw both my girls! I'm so blessed!
Here's a picture of Maddie (courtesy of Laura Hinely!) at just less then 24 hours old.

I had Maddie on a Thursday night, and Saturday night we were released to go home. Loren was super excited for "baby Maddie" to come home!

Nana and Papa King were here till Monday of last week (which was SUCH a blessing!) I just don't know what I'd do without my Mom-I balled when she left! I remember that feeling with Loren but it was much more intense this time around. Maybe because she was leaving me with TWO this time!
The Sunday before my parents left, we took Maddie out to services for the first time-it felt good to be out and Maddie did wonderful! She is such a sweet, easy going baby. We are just loving her to pieces!

This past Sunday, Mum was here and the girls wore their matching dress (also courtesy of Laura Hinely!). They're just gorgeous-thanks Laura! Loren LOVES giving baby sister kisses!

Here's a picture of Maddie from today-three weeks old!
