Hello everyone! Hope you're day is going well. My family is happy to be home after being gone for nearly 2 weeks. Jacky had a trip to D.C. (The boys and I stayed with my parents), and then we took a vacation to Florida. We had a great time! We got to visit a lot of family and the boys LOVED the sand and water! It was a lot of fun, and a much needed break for all of us.
It was a very long trip, though, with 3 little ones. We went to the Pensacola area first to see Jacky's brother and his family and see our niece graduate from high school. Jacky's parents and lots of other family came for the event. It was great to see all of them. Then, after a few days, we drove to Seminole,FL (it's close to St. Pete) to visit my older brother. He lives about 3 minutes from Madeira Beach. It's so pretty, there. We also got to see my younger brother and his wife who live in Tampa (about 45 minutes from Seminole) and also Jacky's sister and her family who also live in Tampa. I had such a nice time, that I didn't want to come back home! But, it is nice to be back in our own beds.
We stayed in a RV while we were visiting my brother. He lives in an RV and Trailer park (it is a really nice one!). A couple that live there in a trailer also have an RV and they let us use it. It was really nice. It is so pleasant and peaceful where he lives. Jackson had a big time riding the big wheel his uncle Mark bought for him at a yard sale up and down the streets and Preston pulled his little sand wagon all over the place! They really had a great time. Nathaniel slept most of the time that we were at the beach, but he did seem to enjoy it when I sat down with him at the water's edge and let the waves roll over us.
We ate at a neat place called Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I really enjoyed it. I got a smoothie called Sunrise Sunset, and it was fabulous! But now, it's back to reality and cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, etc.!
We are planning on putting hardwood floors down in part of our house this weekend. I am looking forward to having them, but not the mess! Hopefully, it will go smoothly. It is a good thing we are planning to do it soon, because Preston spilled 3/4 of a gallon of milk in the hallway a few days ago! What a huge mess! I will definitely be glad to get rid of THAT carpet!!!
Have a great day!!
