Some days I really love Florida. Those are the days when it refrains from raining until 5 PM so I can go to the beach for a few hours. And so today I joined thousands of other east coasters at the beach for this Memorial Day. My face is freckly and my nose is red. Oh, the joys of being genetically pale and speckled.
My mom has not been having really good days this past week. For those of you who don't know, my mom has a rare form of cancer that is untreatable. She's been in a lot of pain this week. All I do generally is sit and talk to her and watch movies and make her smoothies when she wants them. Keep up the prayers! :-)
I'll tell you, I did not realize how much work it was to feed our animals until I had to do it solo. Man oh man is it a task! I've taken on several jobs as of late and they keep coming as people keep going.
This weekend should be pretty nice. I'll be heading up to PC (Plant City for the non-Floridians) for Lorraine's wedding and I'll probably get to hang out with Kristy, Nate Dogg and Chris. I enjoy my little breaks but I always worry. Well, I suppose that is all for now. The rain in Spain stays mainly on the plain, but in Florida it's everywhere.

So, today is the beginning of a beautiful blog-ship. I realized today that I miss my friends desperately. Okeechobee is one isolated little town, let me tell you. I'm so looking forward to this weekend when I will be attending my friend's wedding and will get to see other people besides the natives. Keith will be in FL next week too. YAY! I miss him the most desperately. He's my bestest friend that is male.
Thanks for all the prayers on my mom's behalf. It really helps her knowing that people are praying for her. It makes her feel better. Exciting news for those who don't know already...she was baptized a couple weeks ago! Prayers were answered!
Well, now its off to feed my kid.
