Return to Cranford

My wife wants to watch Return to Cranford. She was too tired to watch it last night.

Now For Something Completely Different - An Entry

Good thing I don't get paid for how often I post something on here.

How sad is it that we let ourselves get so busy that we no longer have time for friends. Friends are our most valuable asset. Of course, if you are married you have your best friend to come home to and spend time with (you do spend time with your spouse right?). That is great and healthy. If I had to spend the rest of my life with only one person it would definitely be my wife. That's why I married her! If I couldn't be with her anymore I would be very upset. I know it could happen, but I still don't like it. However, there is definitely a value to friends other than your spouse.

I will put in here that if you are married and have close single friends of the opposite gender, you really need to consider what you are doing. You committed yourself to one person of the other gender. That's all about that.

(Since I'm a guy...) Hanging out with 'the guys' is so valuable. Can you put a price on having close friends that understand you, and you understand? I have known, and been around, Nic Gardner for about 10 years. We both know each other and how each other thinks. That's why when you get us together we can always make each other laugh. We know exactly what to say that is funny to each other. We also know each other's struggles. There are others that I've known as long, and some not as long, as I've known Nic, but that I share a similar relationship with. I can not put a price on those relationships in any way. They make me laugh, they support me, they admonish me.

Why have I let myself get so busy that I don't spend almost any time with these friends that mean so much to me. As we all get older we put less and less importance on our friends. They take a lower priority to advancing at my job, creating websites, and everything else I do. Then, when all of my friends have priorities over me we never have any time to spend together.

Shouldn't our friends be the people that we experience everything with? Celebrate together, cry together?

In other news, things are going well and I love my wife.

A post! But I can't say anything, because I'm not much better about posting! And I SO feel you on the making time for friends. We have been way too busy as well and it's sad! Just the other day I was thinking it would be really good to see you guys - I just don't know when. Justin's school has been out of control lately, he couldn't even come home with me and Dave and Sarah and Jeremy this weekend. :( But, hopefully it will be better in a few weeks. Is there any relief in sight for you guys? Hope our free time will overlap and we can get together! :)

Good post Steven. Thank you for coming all the way to Russellville for the viewing. It meant a lot to Hannah and I that you all came. It also let us relax a bit. I appreciate the dinner you bought as well. Most of all, Hannah and I appreciate both you and Heather.

I know this is going to cause some controversy, but...

Heather is the

Best. Wife. Ever.
She may be having some health problems right now, but she is still awesome. I love being married, and I never want to stop it!

what a sweet thing to say. you both are pretty awesome.

It would only cause controversy if you didn't think it. It's wonderful that you think your wife is the best.

I hope Heather's feeling better soon.

I mean that it would cause controversy between my married guy friends. They would think that I'm in error...which to them, I am.

I know what you meant but I took it in another direction. Every guy should think their wife is the best. I was only applauding you for the comment.

New Post FTW!!!!

So I've been going to school for a while now, and it's been good. This term I've been taking a PHP class. If you don't know what PHP is that's ok, it's just a way to make websites. Anyway, I made one. I think it's pretty cool. You all can check it out. It might be changing a little bit over the next few days just as I finish up some of the fine tuning.

Anyway check it out.
  • mommapowula
i checked it out and signed up. thanks for updating. it was time. :)
