The Good Life

Well, I've been "retired" for 3+ weeks and I'm finally getting the hang of it-I've quit rushing around feeling like I've got to get everything done NOW. It's sinking in that I've got about as much time to do things as I want to have. It's lovely.

Finally Fall!!

Temps back down in the 80's-first day of fall Thursday!! My favorite time of the year-not too hot, not too cold-kinda like baby bear's bed-"this one is just right!" And best of all-3 months until I "retire". (I don't have enough time with the hospital to officially retire-I'm quitting, but it's retirement as far as I'm concerned!)

    We're still having lows in the 70s... yuck. Actually, the highs aren't that bad right now, but it'll be 6 weeks probably before it actually feels like fall. Bet West Texas is nice right now, though!

NOT! Having a fairly lazy summer-this round with the dental implant is going without a hitch-I wouldn't even know it's there. Today was cool and rainy-so unlike west Texas in late June. Going to see Amanda, Bob and the granddaughters Thursday for a 4 day weekend-can't wait! Life is good and we are very blessed. Celebrated our 36th anniversary yesterday with dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant and going to see Toy Story 3. It was a good evening.
