Creation Museum

Ok, after my post on Revelation below I was going to wait a month or so until posting something else, but this is just way too good to not post.

This looks really cool at first glance, but I suspect that the coolness would come with a big side of disappointment. I heard about this a while ago, and now that I've seen this clip, I suspect that this "museum" will overstate the case for creation and try to fill in the details that the Bible does not provide (like what the Garden of Eden looked like???). It sounds like there's more of an evangelistic theme than I expected, and the message they present is sure to be disappointing. I'll be very interested to hear what brethren say after visiting. Hopefully it will be better than I am expecting.

True, but don't we do that all the time? We read story books to our kids with pictures and have them color pictures that weren't exactly like it really was, but the visual images help them to learn the story.

I understand what you're saying, Jarrod, but I see a big difference in this and a coloring book. I guess it depends on the extent to which they embellish the story and how strongly they state the conclusions they draw. I look forward to your report! :-)

that totally sucks that dell didn't compensate you for the trip, but i'm not surprised. we asked if there was a cash value for the trip that we could take instead, but they said no. and the trip is NOT kid friendly either...we couldn't take anwyn with us to ANY dell function, not even breakfast! but we still had a blast!!! it was so beautiful. maybe you'll get a chance to go another year:)
